AND IV WATCHED ALL OF IT
Who knew fast travel was so rage inducing.
Because it exists, quests are terrible.Who knew something optional in a game was so rage inducing!
I mean, Options, Fuck.
Because it exists, someone like me has the desire to keep playing. Backtracking is not compelling content unless you've collected some ability that drastically changes the way you play the game.Because it exists, quests are terrible.
Reminds me of that achievements argument we had in here.
Was it Metal Gear Solid Risk or Halo Risk?
Choc, If you still read this thread. I own a vita, Gimme free game!!
I haven't been paying attention to the PC builds in here.
Dead man, Are you going to OC the heck out of that machine?
Also, This is how I've been secretly saving money for a house ... truth is out - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOIbmiQ755Y
Wait, there's V8s on today? And we get nothing?Goddamn channel 7 cunts! Fucking football game on 3 channels, V8's relegated to a one hour highlight show at midnight! Fucking pricks! Fuck!
Wait, there's V8s on today? And we get nothing?
Fucking hell. At least we get F1 today
God, sometimes I wish there were separate "gaming discussion" and "gaming news" forums. So much shit to wade through.
Yeah, /r/gaming is like GAF's Gaming Discussion, but /r/games isn't so bad. It is getting progressively worse, though. These days i'm also including /r/games as another news source.
Hey guys, I heard about this cool new board game called risk, anyone played?

And most of the threads are completely pointless... like "who is the most adorable character this generation?". Some discussions are fine, but others like that, there's literally no value to come out of that because the opinions are never based on facts or theory. Just a complete waste of space.I wish that too. Just looking at the front page there are so many useless threads to me. I especially dislike speculation threads, recommendation threads, and threads that are questions that can be easily answered in the first post.
Is that least favourite as in, out of all my favourites, which one is at the bottom? Or out of all the supporting characters I hate, which one is at the top?Who is your least favourite supporting character this generation?
Well mine is Alyx because Half Life 3Is that least favourite as in, out of all my favourites, which one is at the bottom? Or out of all the supporting characters I hate, which one is at the top?
And what's it to you?

Example: "In your opinion, most beautiful WoW location...show pics". Who cares? It accomplishes nothing, there's nothing valuable anyone can take from that thread (given everyone in there would've played the game and seen said locations), it's all opinions and at the end of the thread, what could the OP possibly have learned or contributed? Hell, OP didn't even post one themselves. Ugh.
Who is your least favourite supporting character this generation?
Lolno? XP and 7 are awesome and Vista and 8 are dogshit. How hard is that to interpret.
Good, bad, good, bad. Microsoft are about as consistent as the Canberra Raiders.
lol
I bet you hated XP/Vista/7 too and can't remember why.
I really don't see what's so bad about it tbh. It's not what it should've been but it's not terrible.
Well, in the example I posted, the OP didn't post anything in their first post.Yep, yep, all these shitty threads. I wonder if the people posting in those threads even read the other people's opinions or they just post their own and then leave.
There's a reason they fired the Windows 8 product manager soon after launch.
It seems like mods on GAF have become more accepting of console fanboys now. It's getting painful.
I love W8. Especially the metro interface... and I'm just using a regular laptop. I like the fact that my actual desktop is incredibly clean now and everything that I want is hidden but is also just a click away. In hindsight it's probably not the best considering that I paid $5 just so I could get custom colours, tiles and wallpapers on the metro interface itself, but going back to W7 feels empty - Like I'm missing something.
Upgrade to W8 Pro from W7 only cost me $10, so I'm not complaining
A: I am using HDMI for my wii u, its got weirdly bad colours and crap, like super blocky... when I play wii games only.
B: Why did they call the new game far cry 3 at all?
C: Imma gonna get a HTC one cause im totally over samsung!
Would it have been a better and maybe even a great OS if they had moved all the metro stuff into the standard desktop? Yea, For sure which is certainly what people seem to get all annoyed by.
I don't know if they are more accepting, they have just come out of the woodwork the last couple months and with no extra mods I can't see them keeping up.
Will do! Eventually.Shaneus, Play NFS the run already!
Ham and I have a thing going on and you're the only other person on my friends list with it

Doesn't sound safe...
Lord of the Risks Rings
The problem with Risk is that it drags on for too long if the players are competent. Alliances dissolve the second one player looks like they're becoming too powerful, then the enemies can build up for a counter attack while the others are infighting. The cycle continues for fucking ever. Myself and two others agreed to surrender after 3.5 hours because we couldn't be bothered playing any more.
okBored games. When video games are too much fun!
Ironic spelling!
Go play a good game like mouse tap losers!
Alliances are the worst thing ever, especially when you honour them and the other person doesn't. I spent most of schoolies playing Risk and poker, so we had plenty of time to finish games (but some versions have objectives so it takes less time?). Many a friendship was tested that week.
Elimination games in general aren't that fun. Especially with no other means of determining a winner. Game of Thrones board game might have been a better option.
