I felt like early on they were setting up Amish vs Indians and then dropped it to have these episodes that were one-off character vignettes. Definitely a disappointing season and I can't even follow Hood's logic anymore. Feels like plot hate, not real hate.

I still think it's a great show and worth watching, just has lost a lot of its momentum and not sure where they see it going now.

You know what.

Yeah. They really took a hard left. I was more interested in seeing the Indians and Amish continue to escalate. It's really weird. Felt like they wanted to hold off on the Indians, but the reason last season worked is cause they held nothing back.

That was the first Chekov's Box Of Medieval Weapons on TV for sure.

The way the tension was built up to Hood opening the secret door I was sure Rebecca had removed the weapons without telling Proctor to prove herself but Rebecca seems to want to both keep her position of wealth and power and get rid of her creepy uncle. Mentioning Juliet is a bit odd but maybe she'll tip Hood so Proctor gets to add attempted murder on a witness to his weapons charges. I also really like how they made Juliet such a pivotal character in the Hood/Proctor struggle, at first it seemed she was just a random extra. Just like Proctor saw her.
.

u not very good at understanding stuff are ya ? she wants to bone him.
masturbates while thinking of him
tells him "I admire your self restraint" while unhooking her bra
sitting in the chair he just got out of
getting rid of his lover
etc.

haha right on.

Well, she's coming over at 6:00 PM. Often times she doesn't stay that long  so she may be gone by the time 9:00 rolls around. I would like for her to stay till 10:00 so she could watch Banshee with me! How cool would that be! :lol

New episode tonight:
Homecoming

In New York, Job drops in on a priest with ties to Rabbit, taking a hit for his troubles. Carrie's relationship with Gordon faces a new test in the wake of another revelation. Burton silences one traitor, but another eludes him. Alex vows to deliver evidence to keep Proctor behind bars. Emmett moves on while Brock looks to move up. Lucas and Carrie brace for an epic showdown, as does an NYPD captain with ties to their past.

I struggled through watching episode 5 because it's just so brutally BORING and I came here to see if I should continue, but looks like from some others complaints it looks like it keeps up the complete drop off the cliff into waste of time. Someone high up on this show must suffer from severe depression because I swear it feels like every ep contains numerous scenes of characters gazing into the distance in slo-mo like they're auditioning for a Medication commercial. What on earth happened to this show?

Note to the showrunners. Your show was never deep. We wanted to see the cast fight and have sex. Not think about life. You aren't Rectify.

So much this.

I really hope the final two episodes are good as the season as a whole has been somewhat disappointing so far.

I did like the last episode though. That stomach kick was probably one of the most unsettling things I've seen for some time.

This season has been a massive disappointment compared to the break-neck pace of the first. Can't believe there are only two episodes left and fuck all has happened. We've had about 3 episodes worth of plot (at most).

Didn't they describe this season as "so brutal"? I'm just not seeing it; even the nazi fight was meh.

I'm hoping they do something bold like kill off Carrie this season, or just find a way to permanently sever ties with that family, everything about them just kills the momentum and seems so out of place.

There's nothing wrong with being a cheesy, trashy show - but it must never, ever be boring.

"Every episode this season is 50% better than the best episode from last season"

"Season two is the big brother of season one"

So far neither of those things have panned out.

Now this is why I watch Banshee for. The initial escape and the karate assasin priests :D

This season has been weird. I mean, there's a lot of cool elements and smaller stories, but they didn;t gel together the way they used to in S1. It feels like halfpoint of season instead of almost finale. Last year Banshee was my favorite show and now I doubt it will even fit in top5 this year. But I still like it, love the action and love the characters. It just needs course correction.
Hopefully with Rabbit gone they will give us more focused S3. Letting the guy survive was a huge mistake.

Enjoyed season 1 a lot more, but this is still trashy, dumb fun, especially the last episode. Less brutal hand to hand fight scenes, however, and that's disappointing. Still, can't wait for the finale.

I'm glad Burton didn't kill Julia. As of now, he's still only been shown killing "bad guys". (Jason was an idiot and a liar. Doesn't count.) I still have hope that he can escape Kai's control.

Does anyone know the name of the song that played when Burton was in the strip club?

hooo. job kicked so much ass in the beginning. mvp of the season i think just from his scene in this episode.

that somersault gun shot especially seemed like something out of wanted.

Fab episode this week. That opening scene where Job breaks in/out of the cathedral (and then gets hit by a car!!!!) was fucking awesome and that hospital shootout was just bananas. Next week's finale is going to kick ass. I wonder if Chayton will play into it somehow or if they're saving him for next season? I feel like the finale is going to be packed with just the Rabbit stuff, so I'm actually hoping they're saving him for next year.

Also, Vert boil, can you gif Rebecca's "I don't give a shit"? :D

Trailer Trash Tracys - Candy Girl

Excellent song and great placement within the episode.

Job's opening scene made it worth it, the rest of the episode wasn't that enticing though.
Even the final set piece didn't do much for me, mostly uninteresting choreographies, with very close shots.

Also tension is really low atm, Rabbit is shitting his pants, so it's basically last season's ending reversed, with very little chance of anyone of interest dying.

So was Hood just OK with letting that woman he got the tip from die? He painted a target on her back with that warrant. Of course Kai will figure out it must have been her and order her murder but Hood didn't even pretend to protect her.

Not sure what's Rebecca's angle. She's she one who pointed the finger to that woman. Maybe she had a change of heart or she's trying to divert any potential future blame because she seems like eying Proctor's seat. Having said that, she did share with Kai Alex's intentions.

Like others have said, this season has been all over the place. It missed that overall arc from season 1. This episode was pretty great though, the action was Banshee worthy.

just finished up season one. what a great show. was looking for something and my friend recommended justified, I tried that then I tried this and stuck with this. Justified seems good as well, but this show has some immediate ultraviolence I like more.
