It's a continuation from the last gameplay trailer

Following on from the events of ‘Officer Down’, Batman infiltrates Scarecrow’s safehouse in Gotham City to find a familiar face, and takes on the might of the Arkham Knight’s drone forces in the Batmobile.

Impressions from a recent press event

Even on PS4 this looks incredible, massive step up from the PS3 games. The rain effects in this game are some of the best I've ever seen. I still hate the way Batman animates, but I'm so thrilled to play Rocksteady's final effort.

Is that the same room from the Dual play demo in the Arkham Insider video?

Ivy looked greener inside the tank because of the lights.

Going through the roof was fast. Not long now

Not sure if I'm getting the right vibe - but are these hands-on previews indicating the game is not that good?

I'll be honest. I have a bad feeling about the quality of the game. If I'm remembering correctly, there haven't really been any in depth gameplay previews of the game. We are less than a month away and finally getting our first previews. Isn't that typical behavior for companies trying to hide something?

Hmm, got to say, a little disappointed there isn't much in the way of new content that is being revealed. Batmobile stuff OK but I'm hoping for more expansion on the detective stuff.

Yeah I feel you. One of the previews say something like it doesn't feel like Batman anymore, not sure what to make of that.

My concern is they are trying to do too many things with the different gameplay options and the game will just not mesh well in the end.

but i am very excited to play this and the graphics look great.

This footage isn't the first previews. The Officer Down Gameplay trailer came in March. The footage is taken directly from a PS4. I don't think there is much to worry about.

The destruciton looks really fun, just like the driving. Just the shooting I hate to see in a Batman game, even though I know those are unmanned, still looks weird.

I really hate the vehicle combat.

But the game looks pretty damn amazing when this was really running on a PS4.

Got excited by the length. But then it was another story heavy trailer and one with a few minutes of tank gameplay so eh, was a bit let down. Certainly looks pretty at least.

Wish they'd release like a 10 minute one that's got little story content, just people playing.

Really excited for this - looks totally beautiful and is doubling down on Arkham City, which I adore. Not to say I didn't love Asylum, I just prefer the nature of City.

Endgadget sounds even more like it wished it was AA. "It's not Batman." Geez.

Yeah that is an insane headliner haha. Rocksteady and WB have the tag "BE THE BATMAN" and they straight up say "'Batman: Arkham Knight' is a fun distraction, but it's not Batman".

Damn.

I'm talking hands on previews, not gameplay trailers. Previewing just a missions is completely different from letting people play in the world for some time.

I just think it's a mistake to put faith in a game until it is released, unless there are several gameplay previews from non developers testing the game throughout its dev cycle.

Looks like an Arkham game, which is mostly a good thing. I'm not sold on the Batmobile stuff, the tank fighting bit looks stupid. I'll take Batman Returns on Sega CD's driving sections over that any day.

Yes you can see the PS4 button prompts

There were PS4 button prompts during last year's Sony E3 demo, which turned out to be a misdirection. Really, unless the game in question is console-exclusive or the version of said game is categorically stated, chances are it's the PC version.

Batmobile tank mode still doesn't sit right with me, it look's like it plays fine, but it just seems out of place with everything else in the game, hopefully it's just a case of the publisher putting that content front and center with the purpose of advertising new-features, and not because it's representative of how much of it's in the game -- I feel like it's been in most of the preview footage with prominent display thus far.

On a more positive note, I'm glad to see how well the environments have been designed to allow you to drive freely and quickly, lot's of destructable environments and ramps, it looks like the give you an appropriately unrealistic level of control too, which is even more surprising when you see how good the Batmobile looks and animates when driving, really sells the weight of the thing appropriately. It will be interesting to see the linear race tracks they've implemented, I'm now alot more confident in the driving after seeing this demo.

Cutscenes look fantastic, too. Even if you're not a fan of that Poison Ivy design, they sell the fuck out of the facial animation, and well, really all the animation, but the face tech specifically, especially considering all of that was in game (I think at least), regardless it looked fantastic.
