Batman: Arkham Knight Gameplay Video – Time To Go To War

I thought you couldn't activate a dual takedown unless you have your combo meter up and it uses your special, so isn't that technically the same thing? The AI companion can't actually knock out an enemy, it has to be done by the player. Also this will only happen at select points of the story, so I don't see it becoming much of an issue in the long run.

Yes. You build a combo like normal can still perform takedowns. When in those specific dual-play missions there is now a radial meter below the combo meter that also builds up with the combos you do. When full a bat symbol with activate to notify the player that a dual takedown is available.

This is all judging from the dual-play video that was released.

Then I don't see much of an issue with dual play. I guess it could make things a tad easier, but the Arkham games were never really hard to begin with, I'd rather see cool stuff happen on screen with Nightwing and Batman taking down thugs together then having a big challenge, at least at those moments.

Can you basically fly in this game then?

Kind of... He glides like in the later shows and the movies. You can dive bomb and pull back up to catch more air or grapple boost to continue the glide.

I remember the devs saying in one of the interviews that they specifically upped the enemy count in the dual play fights to help balance it out. Also there will be specific enemies that can only be taken out with a dual takedown.

Also, Yes. The Arkham games fights are less about difficultly and more about (im not getting paid to say this) "Being Batman". How high can you get your combo and how much variety you use with the different moves and gadgets to take everyone out with style. You are then rewarded with more XP. That's why I think the fighting is so great. Easy to get into but it also gets very deep.

wtf happened to his hair lol

Just put the same glasses on Sam and their equal.

Yup, and this one looks as if it's even deeper, the amount of new combos and stuff we've already seen is insane.

Anyone else is hyped about the Harley Quinn DLC ?
Eh, I was kind of looking forward to it but now it looks like I and the rest of us who got the game through NVIDIA won't be getting it.

Sorry for the kind of old bump, but I saw a couple other people wondering about the Harley Quinn preorder dlc too. I have never gotten a code like this before, so I didnt know if it was going to come with the preorder dlc. I contacted NVidia and they said it does not. Went back and got in touch with another customer service rep afterward to make sure, and they also said it does not come with it.

Redeeming the Nvidia code gets gives you a Steam code in return though. If you activate it on Steam before release, would that count as a pre-order?

That would take a lot of work to ensure some people don't get the DLC. Is someone activating a Steam code from a promotion functionally different from using a code purchased elsewhere? How do preorder bonuses usually work on Steam?

On an unrelated note, the Officer Down trailer shows that Square (PS4) or X (XBO) are "break" for the Batmobile. Doesn't sound too hard control-wise.
