That's what I liked about casting Keaton for the first Batman. Burton said in his book that he wanted somebody relatively average, not some bulked superhero type, because the character Bruce Wayne was trying to be somebody he wasn't.

Man, that looked so damn cool.

It wasn't just the line "Does it come in black?" that was great. It was that Bale was so damn excited, in a Bale kind of way, when he said it. He wasn't outright thrilled, but you could see his genuine enthusiasm through the hard exterior.

And Scarecrow looks so damn eerie.

I think you're confusing 2005 with 1980 ... for Star Wars anyways.

I'm not crazy about the look of Batman Begins though. The suit and the Batmobile, seem like steps backwards from the Burton designs.
