Nah, the '80s fuckin' sucked.
Nah, they in fact blew
tons of cocaine
Nah, the '80s fuckin' sucked.
You must have been doing the wrong drugs.Nah, the '80s fuckin' sucked.
This is where the second weekend might become even more fraught with schadenfreude than this one.

Yeah, I really feel for WB/DC here. The practically scathing reviews, people enjoying said reviews, and all are hitting me. I'm seeing it tomorrow and I'm still skeptic on the things I was always skeptic about with this but even when the positive reviews can't help but point out the same negatives (editing, pacing, plot, Lex, etc.), I can't help but feel bad. They have so much riding on this film and to see it get the reaction it is getting must be rough and it hasn't even had its opening weekend. This movie is becoming an event, something historic, for all the wrong reasons...
I feel like playing "My Heart Will Go On"....
Do you ever get tired of being wrong, Bobby?
So what's the deal with this movie's crew and cast praising Chris Terrio's screenplay? Nobody said shit about how visionary Snyder was or any bullshit of that sort. All the praise was always for Terrio's script, consistently and constantly, by nearly every cast member.
The plot in this movie is asssssssssss.
This is where the second weekend might become even more fraught with schadenfreude than this one.
I guess Terrio wasn't able to unfuck the Goyer out of it in the end.
It's going to reach Green Lantern lows, isn't it?
At least deadline gives it a positive review:

There's a real chance Zootopia crawls from 2 to 1. Nothing else ahead til jungle book.
Nah, the '80s fuckin' sucked.
Worse than Hitler but better than Cruz.Has someone asked to that Microsofts AI bot on tweeter what he thinks about the movie ?
cartoons and toys were better
I mean, there's a firebombing of a federal building and like 10 9/11s. And have you seen Doomsday? Is the movie really as kid unfriendly as some people say? If so, I can imagine Zootopia stealing a lot of its audience after the first weekend.

I have seen this movie.
This movie is bad.
This movie is really bad.
This movie is bad and should feel bad.
This movie is Suckerpunch levels of Snyder-bad.
I have no interest in watching ANYTHING ELSE touched by nuclear-grade toxic hands of Zack Snyder. WB needs to stop this man and re-engineer ALL of their plans for this franchise. I predict that this movie will have no legs. No legs of any sort. The first 90 minutes are composed of complete dead air with nothing even remotely entertaining happening. Dull as a motherfucker. The "plot" is just Snyder and company scrambling for reasons to make Superman and Batman fight.
Then they fight.
This movie has taught me that I'm actually not interesting in watching something like that.
Welp.
I thought Mahvel might be the one that drives the genre into the ground, but DC might actually kill the whole freaking thing in one single blow.
Probably not, thankfully. It's going to reach Green Lantern lows, isn't it?
If BVS drops hard, and Zootopia keeps legging out the way it is, they'll cross a few weeks down the road when they're both in the teens per weekend. This would need to have a collapse of historic proportions to do so in week 2, which despite the reviews is not happening.
Zootopia in its 4th week overtaking BvS in its 2nd would be a clusterfuck on such an epic scale the WB lot might simply break in half from the wrath of god
Warner Bros. just need to hire the right people.
I don't know of anyone other than Snyder, and maybe his wife, who thinks he's one of those right people.
I guess Terrio wasn't able to unfuck the Goyer out of it in the end.
I would legit LOVE a Joss Whedon Superman movie *dodges tomatoes*
This thread wouldnt exist the way it is right now if BvS had turned out well, you know. It's a blessing in disguise. Let us all thank BvS. Thank you, BvS.
Why does this movie have to be a follow up to MoS at all? There is no need for a plot that "sets up" superman, everyone knows who the fuck superman is. The movie apparently even agrees, because there is no batman introduction movie preceding this. You're just supposed to know who batman is. Why bolt itself onto the framework of Man of Steel? The entire movie is just a way for them to get the two biggest DC properties to fight, why not go with something better as a backdrop?
Fuck I hate man of steel.
GREEN LANTERN
OVERALL: 26%, 4.2 average rating, 226 reviews, 167 rotten.
TOP CRITICS: 19%, 4.2 average rating, 43 reviews, 35 rotten.
BATMAN v SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE
OVERALL: 31%, 5.1 average rating, 185 reviews, 127 rotten.
TOP CRITICS: 27%, 4.9 average rating, 45 reviews, 33 rotten
It probably won't kick Green Lantern off the shitter, but it'll probably take position playing peek-a-mouse at the right-hand urinal.
No, give him Teen Titans
They should've hired Donald Trump as Lex.

"Unfuck the Goyer out of it" is now going to be my most used phrase for a while.I guess Terrio wasn't able to unfuck the Goyer out of it in the end.
I really want to know more about the production of the movie.
In the early stages, there were statements like Kryptonit is to cartoony for this universe, Wonder Woman is a kryptonian and the footbal match that is Clark is supposed to cover was filmed and everything.
Seems like they went a 180 right in production after they noticed that people love Marvel movies for not beeing afraid staying close to really cartoony elements of the source material.
I really guess thats where all the troubles happened what resulted in those problems.
Wow-is this real?
