...it's an honor

This made me laugh out loud.

I can't believe so many people here are ragging on Age of Ultron and saying it's better than BvS. Yes, AoU doesn't live up to the original and is disappointing in some respects, but it is leagues better than BvS.

You couldnt hula under that low bar from what people are saying...

Age of Ultron is a failure on every single level. There's not a single good thing about it. BvS only fails on some levels, and even those are mostly fixable, or just not that important.

Man, the final % difference between My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 and BvS is way lower than what I expected

Actually Rise of the Silver Surfer is higher

Okay, that's not fair. I've said some unkind things about this movie, but it is not worse than Rise of the Silver Surfer. I was down to that and one of the Twilight movies on a trans-pacific flight, and after maybe thirty minutes I switched to Twilight.

Age of Ultron is flawed, but better than Batman v Superman. The former's story holds up better than the latter's, and both suffer from being overstuffed.

Audience rating is interesting. I don't think I've seen a gap between critic and audience this big since Man on Fire.

For huge franchises with big fanbases the first wave of impressions are dominated by the same people who wear costumes to the theater opening night and have been following production since it's inception. Mega fans are fun to see movies with but they have more invested in having their fandom fervor affirmed than they usually realize.

Basing a decision on them is like asking a room of cattle farmers if they like the taste of beef. Or the family of an athlete who their favorite team is.

At least with critics there isn't usually much emotion in the mix.

Damn, 29%.

I'm so torn on Snyder. To use the comic book analogy again, I think he is a great artist. Just put an image of Cavill in the suit next to one of Brandon Routh in the suit. There's no comparison. Snyder's approach is a quantum leap forward. Look at his Batman suit versus the awful TDK suit. It makes such a difference when the director knows how to translate these characters to celluloid.

But as great a visual stylist as Snyder is, he needs to take a backseat when it comes to storytelling. Instead, Warner appear to be treating him like an auteur, letting him do whatever he wants. The problem is Snyder thinks he can do it all and he can't.
