Anyone know what map this is? It doesn't look like any of the 10 maps revealed so far... so this will be part of the later DLC I'm guessing. Weird that they would mass market the game with a map that isn't in the game though.

That spot is a lot longer than what's been posted already... it's so good.

Whoever buys the LE edition gets some codes in the box. Those codes allow free day one dlc of two maps for all versions of the game. And apparently two more free maps later in March.

Simple.

The question is now, why wont amazon offer the 20 credit for the PC version!!!

i don't think this is accurate.. the annoucement didnt say anything about having to be the LE edition. i think it's for all copies.

the LE editions are only for the 1943 guns and shit.

man this might be the first game that i ever double dipped on. My friends are getting the 360 version since they don't have the PC to run it. My PC handles it pretty well and its alot of fun not hearing random voice chat filled with idiots. :lol

They could just use the 32 player version of the map for conquest, and maybe have a rush version, but that wouldn't be much of a problem since the maps if very linear anyway. Als squad rush is 4v4 which would really suck on karkand.

One thing I noticed playing the demo and really happy about is that BFBC2 still just has that Battlefield-feel to it. I played BF2 completely to death back in the days and BFBC2 is really giving me that kind of vibe Love it. Love it. LOVE it.

Squad rush only would ruin the map (over-exaggerating a little). Playing defense was not only about stopping the enemy from progressing but also pushing them back if they did. The tug of war between points is what made the map so good.

Gamestop preorder and Limited Edition weapons are as far as I know XP unlockables. Then you get weapons when you have Battlefield 1943 (I'm not sure if other battlefield games count) and with every new copy there is a code which gives you access to two new maps for free. When you buy the game used or download it illegal, you don't get a code and have to pay $10 or something if you want the maps.

I love it when they drive by the guy who is flying through the air in slo-mo (even though it would be sweeter if they had hit him and he went flying...my only complaint about this game).

Really? Hmm. I may sound crazy, but I actually enjoy starting at zero and earning things. Giving people 6 unlocks off the bat, IMO, takes away 6 awesome things I can unlock and discover through playing.

It's like giving someone a +3 sword of flame at level 1 in an RPG because they decided to pay more. I want to earn that damn thing, not breeze through the beginning of the game using it and not being challenged.

Anyhow, it's the same price as the regular edition. Is there even a regular edition you can buy? I'd rather not be giving my money to Gamestop, so if all this stuff is available by actually earning it I'll buy the game elsewhere.

I think you could have the attackers start at the southern tip of the map (i dont remember which faction starts there, it has been 3+ years since Ive played BF2) and have a base near the front of the downtown area, then have another at the north end.

And if it's camo, like some have posted, that (imo) raises some interesting questions as to how they could have that be DLC. Since you don't really ever select camo during gameplay. The blurb alluded to a type of specialist class, which at first I thought was hyperbole, but now I wonder if they're actually going to introduce a special class/kit option.

I would love to see some BF2 maps in BC2. Karkand and Sharqi Peninsula would be awesome, Mashtuur and Oman would be good too. Basically port all the BF2 maps, or release an editor so I can do it myself.

How did that work with ME2... did you need a lot of codes to get everything?

For ME2 it was only 3 codes needed and I think for B:BC2 its 4

In Battlefield: Bad Company 2 four kit upgrades allow you to become a unique Special Activities soldier, with new camouflage and a modified weapon. Kit upgrades also contain new awards and an additional achievement.

The way it works is that you go to the dr pepper site and input your codes and it says you won an ea prize. you then use the prize link to log into your ea account and you get to choose which game you want to use the "prize" on. You select your game and it shows you which DLC items you can choose from. You select one and the platform (PC, Console) and you will then be able to download it via an option in the games main menu.
