The way it works is that you go to the dr pepper site and input your codes and it says you won an ea prize. you then use the prize link to log into your ea account and you get to choose which game you want to use the "prize" on. You select your game and it shows you which DLC items you can choose from. You select one and the platform (PC, Console) and you will then be able to download it via an option in the games main menu.

It could just be the first shotgun unlock that works for each class. As far as earning these the honest way, after putting in around 100 hours in the beta and demos, I don't feel too guilty:D

I'm kind of beating a dead horse by now but the camo part is what confuses me... I can't really think of how they'd do that the way you currently select kits/items.

It's weird.

It literally says "unique Special Activities soldier, with new camouflage"...

Maybe it's a spiritual successor? Remade in the same setting as the Campaign.

I don't know what it is, but the TV Spot doesn't like like Arica Harbor to me, unless they massively overhauled it.

You make a good point though. While the description (at least part of it) sounds like the shotgun alternate for each class, there is no outfit selection in the game. It would be cool if there were though! I'd love to be able to switch up the outfits a little.

I'd like to believe they wouldn't leave an entire class out of the beta and demos to be unlocked through a soft drink which may or may not be (Not sure) available all over the world.

DLC is pirateable if you have a JTAG hacked console. JTAG hacked consoles are easily detected and banned. DLC is not pirateable on the harder to detect Hacked DVDROM Firmware consoles that people actually use to play on Xbox Live.

So yeah, someone can technically play their JTAG console with their hacked DLC online for a few hours/days and then get banned, makes tons of sense to save $15!

I think it refers to the upgrades you could see under the unlocks screen. For example there was one for the assault rifle which would give you a grip + rail system or something like that, and the engineer had one with a better silencer and some other stuff IIRC.

And the mk14mod0 is already in the game.

Yeah... there's vid already of the M14 Enhanced with ACOG floating around.

I am so happy about that gun. That and the M1.

For Mass Effect 2 there were only like 4 codes spread out in the bottles.

Basically some guy on GameFAQs got them all, posted them online, and gave instruction on how to get ALL the DLC from Dr.Pepper without having to buy any.

I'm sure someone will do something similar.

I'm starting to think I'm going to be Recon for quite a while. :D Perk 2 in particular will make things easier to scope out. Looking forward to this FOV adjustment.

The codes will be easy to come by. Lots of giveaways etc. You can even request free codes through the mail. Probably US only though.

Ask them for details about the dr pepper dlc. I did it on their official twitter page but no response.

But how will you have different camos and switch? The wording is just curious for the whole thing, and I'm interested in what it actually is. All of the other DLC has been clearly explained.

Agreed. There's just something about the M14/Garand (and Mini 14) that just looks so good. :D

so when can you actually redeem the codes for the BC2 stuff? I just tried and the game isn't listed. Does anyone know or is it on the release day (March 2nd)?

I hadn't even heard about the ME2 Dr. Pepper stuff but I don't like what I hear. And I don't really like that they're doing it for BC2 either. What exactly is the DLC we're talking about? For both games. Like what is the content itself.

Oh. I assumed all the codes would be unique. No worries then if that's the way it'll work.

i can't possibly imagine them actually having a class unlock by soda caps, that would be bizarre! surely it has to just be kit upgrades you would normally earn in the game...

There's a trailer also that shows a camouflaged M1 Garand but I can't remember which one.

It was an official video, and was on Port Valdez... edit: found it

EDIT2: Holy crap I was wrong... that's actually the M14 at the 1:30ish mark. I though it was the M1 because of the iron sight. :lol

I've been thinking about this all day (I know pretty lame) but the only way I can see this working is before you go join a match there could be an option to use standard uniform or alt uniform. Then for each class there is an alt uniform/upgrade.
Who knows what the alt uni looks like it would be hilarious if it was this:
