Everyone, including me, was screaming this from the rooftops for 2016. I have no faith in 2018 or 2020 at all, the only thing I'm expecting is another loss in 2018 and people actually following through with leaving the country as a result.

Been seeing a lot of commercials telling viewers to call their senator to confirm DeVos. Surprised there's no counter ads but I guess that's not something Deus are willing to spend money on.
I'm honestly surprised she made it trough. I assume Republicans are afraid to vote against the appointees because they know how vindictive Trump is. Should be interesting to see if Sessions makes it through.

I have a 4 year old in pre-school now. No idea what will happen if public schools begin to disappear or worse get underfunded to the point its not even worth it.

As someone job searching that's what I took away from the last couple of weeks too. Good thing those jobs I'm applying for are in Germany!
My sister is a single-mom with a full time job. This just adds more to her plate. Not saying she shouldn't be involved in his educational career at all, but at the same time, god fucking damn Republicans really don't want it so that teachers can do their fucking jobs in a reasonable manner.

It has to do with the fact that the American government has completely detached itself from answering to the needs or demands of anyone making less than a million dollars a year. A hard-left Democrat push both downballot and up top would have done a lot more not just last year but in further years from preventing this shit ever happening in this country. Instead, a compromise socialist no-name's insurgent campaign only expected to win 2 states won 21 against a wildly underperforming party favorite, and the party leadership insisted nothing was wrong.

He lost. By a lot. It was never really close. You can parse things out into bins to make it sound closer than it was, but it was not a close primary. Caucuses shouldn't be on the same footing as primaries and, surprise, they really aren't, because they're mostly in a bunch of less-populated states and thus worth far, far less in the delegate count.
