Your first comment he replied to read to me as a joke honestly.

On rumor topic, if Heisenberg didnt share anything is because he doesnt have the luxury to do so like some other journalist leakers.

All i know is that PS5 Pro is getting revealed in a blogpost around September 5th, just like the PSVR2
We are close enough to find out.

Got astrobot preordered so i wont be dissapointed if it all becomes a nothing burger.

Stil excited but this gen i have been let down by this industry in ways i cant remember ever being this bad.

It's very likely priced at $599

If it had a disc the price would be $679.99, which is why they are selling the disc drive separately.

This kind of makes no sense to me. If you're phrasing a leak as a guess so you don't have to provide receipts, how does that ever make you a reliable insider when you simply can deny it was a leak to begin with if it turns out false? I have no idea what you've leaked in the past or how credible you are, I just thought I'd highlight how nonsensical this sounded to me, lol.
I don't think I have ever denied anything I have said and try to always own up to things when I have been wrong

I know people don't like this but things do change and have said this before

I have heard Phil Spencer himself say something like "We are close to revealing (insert game name here) and its going to blow people away" and it never happened and this was when Ybarra was still with Xbox

I do appreciate the feedback in a polite manner though, thank you for not getting personal

You don't need a Pro. There are no PS5 games. And the games that are on PS5 and will be coming to PS5 are Xbox games and those are designed for Series S as well. No Pro needed.
I couldn't agree more

Every single person here should wait until they see better games before buying a Pro

Wait until next summer and let stock sit on shelves over the holidays, demand better folks

Wrong.

The reason PS5 has no games is because Sony is waiting Xbox finish porting their games backlog to it. :messenger_winking:

I agree, YOU dont need a pro. Where as I do. And you're also right: PS5 games will be coming to PS5.

I think it will be one sku.

And like you said 599 which is very fair.

I think it will come standard with a disc drive but really just give me 2tb ssd space and i am happy.

Never ever did i put a single disc into my ps5 so i dont see the need for it. Games are cd keys only nowdays so its irrelevant

Most people are only interested in the PS5 Pro because it's much more powerful than the XBSX.

Only a few actually care about better performance when gaming and are actually purchasing it.

PS4 Pro only accounted for 13.5% of the total sales and the hype for that console was crazy high.
PS4 Pro sold 14.3 million as of Jan 2020 - does this make a compelling case to continue with the strategy?

The hype for to PS5 Pro would make you believe it would sell 50% of the total sales.

And no competition for at least 12+ months of being clearly the best place to play any console game

It would not shock me if marching orders come down and a "leak" happens on how powerful the next Xbox might be

I might be the only one here with this problme but i do need the pro.

I need it for either better resolution or better performance.

On an 85 inch tv , fsr is shit. Even when standing stil in games i see a lot of shimmer on certain object and in motion i might as well be on acid.

Some games can look really ugly on a big screen. And i like to play at 60 fps even with some dips . But currently games in 60fps mode can look like shit . Alan wake 2 oh my god , is just puke.

So for me its just a cleaner looking game that matters. Dont care for more rt that thing is old and looks out of place moat of the time.

But for most yeah you are fine with the basic version. This not ps4 1080 to pro 4k anymore. Ps5 holds up very well for its age.

Refuse to buy this shit if they refuse to show me games for it. Enough getting by on good will, show me what the fuck to get excited for

That's due to the yen being so weak. Price cut in the US is certainly possible for the slim if they're trying to clear inventory.
Why would they want to clear inventory? Slim will stay as main console, and Pro will be for enthusiasts.

Wait until next summer and let stock sit on shelves over the holidays, demand better folks
Completely agree. People should wait (and I will get one with no problem)

As someone that bought a PS4 Pro day one, PS5 pro is absolutely pointless to me this time around. Considering MS is not having a pro version of their own, Im going to guess they are focused on next gen and will just like in the 360 days, release a year ahead of Playstation. Considering they got nobody to compete with the Pro is such a forced add-on. Theres not enough high quality PS5 only games that even took advantage of the OG PS5. Most games already run at 60 fps. I aint paying $600+ just to get a "stable" 60fps in some games as if my brain can tell when the game dips from 60 to 51fps or so.

Better be fake, no disc drive is a no buy.
Same sentiment about disc drive.
I bought PS5 mainly due to disc drive as for me playing a disc game is more convenient than downloading a 100 GB game with slow internet connection in the area.

For digital games, a PC is the best platform due to lower prices and greater variety of games. If most AAA games went all digital in the future like BG3, I will stop buying consoles.

Well thats the problem.

The only way to demonstrate the value of this console is by showing something brand new from a first party team.

Means they would have to debut lets say new tsushima on the pro to get people hyped.

But with sony being so quite for so long and also stating there wont be any new first party games this year , i dont think the pro has a chance to make an impact on the market.

And so i keep saying and saying amd saying at the risk of being called an idiot by so many here, that the pro will release early next year.

Trying to see any logic in Sony acts these days is a waste of time. Sony is doing shit over shit, they need another PS3-like fiasco to start hearing their fans.

Ugliest Playstation with the ugliest os I've ever seen.

Cerny probably designed this thing while he was taking a shit on the crapper one day.

The PS4 and PS3 xmb remain supreme.
The best ideas always come from one source and one source only....

I think MS should try to crash the party unless they aren't rock solid certain that they will release whatever they are working on. I completely agree the pro will be the best place to play games for a while. But will many games of note actually get pro support of substance?

COD (higher res at 120) would be my biggest interest in the near future. But will MS actually release pro enhancements that smoke the Series X version? Doubtful IMO. Then we have sports games, but all but college still chase last gen I think. That does not scream huge interest in pro enhancements. And how about Rockstar? They haven't even allowed RDR2 to run in 60 fps on current gen consoles. And if they told Sony to pound sand when it comes to supporting pro, Sony would happily oblige because GTA on just Xbox would be corporate malpractice on Sony's part. And then we have Sony. But what do they even have coming in 12 months? Is anything confirmed that looks good yet?

Anyway, I'm not trying to be all negative nancy. I think I'm just a little shy about spending money on Sony hardware (like I did with VR2) under the assumption it will be taken full advantage of. I would definitely like to see games in action on it. And what other options may be coming from competition.

Yeah i agree. I dont know what changed over there but its the same accross the board.

Microsoft is full third party doesnt give a shit about selling console but releases good games.

Nintendo is nintendo saying fuck you no swith 2 for you till fuck knows when.

And sony is becoming and urban legend when it comes to solid first party titles.

This gen was more about political correctnes and ideologies than it was about the gamers and it shows.
HOw you say it? Everything woke turns to shit?
Well i feel all of them have given up this gen and this gen will start with series 2 and ps6.
Till then they will milk what they can get out of this gen.

1. is there anything MS can say or do that would be crashing anyone's party? Looking at how the console landscape currently is... wires have got to be touching in someone's head to still think so.

2. I don't know what you mean by taken advantage of... this is a P console. So by default, a complimentary console. I don't know what you are expecting, but I can tell you this much... call it a hunch... the PS5pro, will play PS5 games and look and perform better while doing it.
Might as well officially announce it tomorrow now.
This is the funny thing about announcements... this was always going to leak like this. No way they start making the console or box and it not leak out. This is why they should have done with they did with the PS5 and announced the design or whatever before they went into volume manufacturing.

The same thing happened with the PS4pro.

1) Would depend on what rumors are true / not true, and what the price points would be, etc. I've seen rumors from handheld, massive power jumps, new generation starting fairly soon, side-loading of steam, and primarily cloud based I think. I'm not trying to convince anyone (myself included) that an industry disruptor is likely. But I won't agree its impossible either.

2) No need for snark. Of course it will make games look and perform better. But I want to see actual games look and perform better before I make a final decision. If the differences are marginal or virtually non-existent in the games I like to play I might sit this one out. I might also be one of the first people to get one on this forum.

This console gen has been an absolute waste. Both PS5 and series X were disappointmentd in their own ways.
This. Why does it feel like this gen hasn’t even started yet and we’re getting a pro console. If the ps4 pro was released with the amount of new games ps5 has then no one would buy it really
