Black Myth: Wukong has sold 10 million copies across all platforms.

The next game from these guys is gonna be nuts. Putting this out as your debut is such a wild accomplishment. I wonder what they do.

They deserve every penny

What an amazing, fun game. It's nuts to tink that this is their first AAA. This is like a Sony 1st party title in caliber and style.

Meaty singleplayer game with no forced online component and other bullshit.

Feels like something from the PS3 era

Now that's what I call "going ape".

I bought it on EGS, refunded it because my Dualshock wouldn't work unless i added EGS to Steam and then Wukong to Steam as well, it's not difficult, but i shouldn't have to jump through hoops when they literally have a dualsense controller image in the controller settings options

Just use DS4Windows?

This is definitely going to get everyone's attention. I can't imagine anyone not launching on PC day 1.

Nintendo literally doesn't give a shit (Wukong pushing them to do Day 1 PC).

Microsoft already does it and will probably do more PC timed exclusives going forward (Ara, Towerborne, Gears Tactics, Flight Sim etc.)

Sony's partly doing it with GAAS titles but the advent of LEGO Horizon going PC Day 1 alongside Until Dawn remake might suggest they're trending in that direction for games in general.

We'll see what's the case with Death Stranding 2 😶...
Its not just about units sold.

Nintendo and Sony for example would prefer people buying games on their consoles to get people into their ecosystem where they will spend more money over time.

For Sony, the games that they know will not gain a lot of traction on PS5 alone, they throw on PC and Nintendo makes crazy money from switches sold, why would they handicap that to put stuff on PC. It would be great if everything come to PC day one but I understand why they wont do it from a business stand point.

Steam pushed over 1.2 exabyte of data over the past 7 days in China.

That's a lot btw.
That's 1,200,000,000 GB of data or 1,200,000 TB.

With the size of the game, that works out to about 9,375,000 total downloads (assuming that this is the only game downloaded, and that people didn't download it multiple times, neither of which is true). Still, crazy to think about the actual network throughput on something like this.

They have one half of the equation that could save the videogaming industry. Games that they despise because of political reasons are successfull.
The other half has something to do with woke games that they support not selling at all...

If only one of the megaminds over there could connect the dots.

I would have purchased already but I'm holding out for a hopeful disc release. Worst case, I'll pull the trigger and purchase digital eventually. Game looks awesome.

"I will say, when I look at a game like Helldivers 2—and it's a great game, kudos to the team shipping on PC and PlayStation—I'm not exactly sure who it helps in the industry by not being on Xbox."
