It makes sense, Hillary clinton is just a stand in face for the democratic party itself and all of their problems.
People expect the GOP to be bad, but if the Dems don't bother to be a legitimate oposition political party with their own message, they are viewed even worse than that because then there are no real options.
For a majority of people there, is no such thing as accepting mediocrity to stave off absolute disaster. Some would say that's a good attitude to have.
It's more about how progressives in the US are so quick to be at each other's throats when they don't have a near perfect candidate with a wide appeal (like Obama).
The various sides that make the progressive movement in the US, of which the Dems are the widest and most mainstream part, are just pushing in all kinds of directions and applying purity tests all around.
I mean, we even had the leader of the Green party pushing for Donald Trump because apparently he was, somehow, better for the environment than Clinton, when Trump had sworn to gut the EPA, roll back environment protections and take down the Clean energy actions of Obama.
Bernie Sanders, the unofficial figurehead of socialists in the US, refuses to be a part of the Democrat party, a party which he seeked the support of and to become its de facto leader without being a part of it.
When said Democrat party was "exposed" as preferring its own candidate (while the process itself was unhindered and remained democratic), a whole swath of progressives turned against it.
When it is revealed day in and day out how much Clinton was F* over by Conservatives (most of her life), Comey, and the Trump campaign likely colluding with Russia to help trolls surgically target fake news in her most vulnerable areas (and of course the Kremlin organized the attack on the DNC emails), it looks like many progressives still say the loss was mostly (if not entirely) her fault.
I mean, in spite of demographics and being on the right side of history on most (if not all) issues, I am amazed that progressives could potentially win -anything- with this constant self hatred.
Quite frankly, every day when I hear Democrat politicians talk in interviews and fight in Congress or Senate or locally, I am reminded of how different they are from GOP motherf*ers.
Fuck the "both sides" talk between Clinton/ Democrats and Trump.
And Fuck all the special progressive snowflakes who prefer to blame the Democrats and Clinton and everybody else rather than look themselves in the mirror. Yes, particularly You the special progressive snowflakes who didn't vote for Clinton in the Midwest.
