Agreed, Borderlands 4 doesn't look that different graphically from BL3 to me, apart from smoother animations.Runs shitty on PC for me. I could run borderlands 3 in VR at a higher fps than 4 at similar settings.
This is so reminiscent of my time with BL3 at launch on Playstation. It was all pretty jank but I still ended up liking it. Glad to hear controls are the worst issue actually.I'm just getting started playing on series X
First impression is that the controls are fucked. Fix the dead zones in advanced settings helped a great deal but it's still "off".
Should be right at the bottom of the screen in the middle.I feel dumb but I'll ask anyway,
I've only played for close to 4 hours but where is the icon for the action skill? I use it and look for a meter showing when I can use it again but can't find it.
At the main menu before you start the game there's "session settings" or something like thatUmm how do I change the difficulty?
I'm finding it brutally hard and can't find difficulty settings.
Thx. I have it on Easy and finding it like Dark Souls hard. WTF is this?At the main menu before you start the game there's "session settings" or something like that

the latest Nvidia driver has a global setting to make it use the latest version of DLSS. No longer have to use 3rd party work arounds.Little question for the pc folks, does this have dlss4 in the ingame settings menu? Like choosing betwen cn and autobot model?
Or you need the usual swapper\app?
I just checked and B4 comes with the latest DLSS v310.2.1(for both DLSS SR and FG) and use preset K (transformer).Little question for the pc folks, does this have dlss4 in the ingame settings menu? Like choosing betwen cn and autobot model?

Are you talking about the nvidia app or just the nvidia control panel?the latest Nvidia driver has a global setting to make it use the latest version of DLSS. No longer have to use 3rd party work arounds.
The Nvidia app. They are going to eventually get rid of that Control panel some day.Are you talking about the nvidia app or just the nvidia control panel?
(Because i don't have the app nor i want to install it)
Tbh i don't wanna upgrade my driver, i'm on the most stable drivers of the past 6 months and usually when i upgrade to a new version, they are always worse, no matter if they are optimized for a specific new game.
So still a preset to pick on the app then, no ingame options, too bad.I just checked and B4 comes with the latest DLSS files (for both DLSS SR and FG) and use preset K (transformer).
Well too bad, i'm not gonna install another app on my pc because devs are too lazy to make ingame options for dlss. The Nvidia app. They are going to eventually get rid of that Control panel some day.
No, there's no in-game DLSS switch. You have to eat what they give you, so to speak. I you want to use older CNN DLSS you need to change settings in the drivers. So i can change from cn to transform model FROM THE INGAME GRAPHICAL OPTIONS??
(sorry for screaming but sometimes people don't understand my noob ass)
Then i'm gonna use the old model i guess, no excuse for laziness when an indie developer like the one for no rest for the wicked has ingame options for dlss but your AAAA 150 dollars special edition game doesn't have it.No, there's no in-game DLSS switch. So, you installed the NV drivers without GF Experience AAP? It's an awesome app dude. It allows you to easily adjust settings on a per-game basis and doesn't affect performance if you don't turn on the Nvidia overlay or use Nvidia filters (something like Reshade).Well too bad, i'm not gonna install another app on my pc because devs are too lazy to make ingame options for dlss.
I don't install anything in my pc that is not the strictly necessary to run games, no afterburner, no discord, no nvidia app, no riva tuner, etc., the pc is as clean as it comes, probably the reason why i'm usually super lucky with notoriously buggy\broken games (or at least i like to think that is the reason). So, you installed the NV drivers without GF Experience AAP? I'm also lucky when it comes to buggy/broken games even though I'm using MSI afterburner with RTSS. This frame limiter drastically lowers input latency, and especially on my current DSC monitor.I don't install anything in my pc that is not the strict necessary to run games, no afterburner, no discord, no nvidia app, no nothing, it is as clear as it comes, probably the reason why i'm usually super lucky with notoriously buggy\broken games.
I don't care about reshades or mods neither, i'm a fairly basic pc player.
I use the frame limiter in the nvidia control panel to limit my framerate to 117.I'm also lucky when it comes to buggy/broken games even though I'm using MSI afterburner with RTSS. This frame limiter drastically lowers input latency, and especially on my current DSC monitor.
The game maxes out the settings at "1000nits" for some reason, the only setting for HDR it has (!), and it isn't quite enough. Which is why I for now use RTX HDR instead to unlock the full brightness of my display.I cant watch the video now but on pc HDR is literally broken
It makes everything looks dark a washout
But nvidia app is kinda essential... you wont even notice it and you just force the DLSS4 globally once and never look at it again, but you do you...Well too bad, i'm not gonna install another app on my pc because devs are too lazy to make ingame options for dlss.
Thanks anyway.
Reviewers said that using action skills and mastering new movement mechanics is essential in B4. I suppose the game could be challenging for someone used to the mechanics of Borderlands 1–3.That challenging?![]()
I'm still trying to get used to the glide, How to you cancel during the glide? I overshoot things.Reviewers said that using action skills and mastering new movement mechanics is essential in B4. I suppose the game could be challenging for someone used to the mechanics of Borderlands 1–3.

Sound like a great improvement to me.Reviewers said that using action skills and mastering new movement mechanics is essential in B4. I suppose the game could be challenging for someone used to the mechanics of Borderlands 1–3.
Also they gotta patch this up. Some textures don't load and look like ass. PS5 Pro.

2 shift key codes, 1 is temporary (to be clear, I should've said timed rather than temporary. Both codes can used nonstop by everyone to get 2 keys). Can redeem on their site to make it easier. Should be all platforms except Switch (think I saw something about that, not 100% sure) https://shift.gearboxsoftware.com/rewards

Man i was about to ask about this, fucking stupid. You'll get better guns as you go.
I should not have redeemed the gift rewards thing so soon, I dont' have the bank option yet and I'm stuck carring a couple of Legendaries I can't use till I get to their level.![]()
Despite my earlier praise, which still largely remains, the performance on PS5 is starting to grate.
The pop-in and shimmer is egregious. As are the texture loads. Think BoTW but worse. And the frame rate is ok, but the more I play, the more it seems to tank.
The game looks worse than BL3. I just don't get the point of UE5. It's so bad.
