i'm assuming the m60 seen in the cold open in live free or die is gonna be used in defence (or offence) against Declan and his associates... since walter white is officially "out" of the meth business.

also, my favorite meth cooking sequence is in 05.03 "hazard pay" with this song playing in the background

Aiii

So not worth it
Doing a rewatch, intended to watch an episode a day, but I'm already at the end of S2 in less than a week. Oh well.

Love this scene in s02e10 where Walt finds out he isn't dying of cancer anymore and has an identity crisis for most of the ep where he gets Walt Jr. drunk, proceeds to renovate the entire house and then finishes the episode by bumping into someone buying meth equipment at the hardware store: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmNU8blUwms

Amazing episode.

There you saw the first real glimpses of the true Heisenberg.

dave is ok

aztek is ok
Yeah lol this is the network that allows Weiner to show literally zero footage for each upcoming season of his show.
I'm pretty sure that's Weiner himself. He stopped sending out as many screeners, shows literally nothing in the 'Next Week On's, got super pissed at a reporter for writing what year the season took place in a review, etc.

Usually Breaking Bad will have a teaser scene/trailer a couple months before the season starts.

The final scene of that episode might have been Thomas Golubic's finest moment. Perfect song for the moment.

my favorite song choice for an episode ending could be breaking bad s1 finale and this song, or at least, it's my most memorable

Oh, it's definitely Weiner, but the network allows him to do that. I just meant that the typical rules of when networks show teasers and trailers from their shows don't really seem to apply to AMC, as they let at least one of their showrunners do whatever he wants, and by that we know show absolutely nothing.

Im afraid that I will have even less episodes that I can watch without taking a break this upcoming season.
First half of season 5 was nerve wrecking for me, couldn't stand it :p

Best. Cold. Open. Ever.

Goddamn that was great. I blasted Bonfire half-ironically at every party I had a chance after that episode for the next two months.

Agreed. I loved that opening. It was just so out there compared to what we normally get on the show. I even went back and watched it again before watching the rest of that episode.

I love the one in "Bullet points" just for this face:

Mike is amazing <3

mike only ever panicked once... and
that was in the episode "say my name" when he was in the play park with his granddaughter... and the cops started coming in from different areas. he was gonna shout out, but he never did... which is very tragic... but also not tragic.. his granddaughter thankfully never got to see his granddaddy arrested

Right, but instead
she just thinks her grandfather deserted her on a playground, never to be seen again. At least an arrest would have had some closure.

Folks, there's no need to spoiler tag things that have already occurred/aired on the show. Please only use spoiler tags for things that haven't aired yet, promo discussion, and the like. This will help avoid confusion. Thanks.

So I got up to about episode 2 of season 5 before I was spoiled that
hank finds out about walter being heisenberg
. Up until that point in the series, I was never spoiled once, which was quite the feat. But now that I know what's ultimately going to happen at the end of season 5's first half... do you think I would be able to discuss Breaking Bad here without seeing any other huge spoilers? I mean, does anything HUGE happen between episodes 3 and 8? I bring this up because in the previous seasons, while shit goes down in the first half of seasons 2, 3 and 4, there's not that many massive events like
gus dying
.

I bring this up because I really want to watch the rest of the first half of season five, but so far I've seen every episode with my ex-roommate and I kind of want to watch the rest of the series with him :p

- LA Times: Join a live chat with Anna Gunn on Thursday
Join "Breaking Bad" star Anna Gunn and Times staff writer Glenn Whipp on Thursday at 10 a.m. Pacific time for a live video discussion of the acclaimed AMC television series.

Last time we saw Skyler White, she was showing her estranged husband, Walt (Bryan Cranston), a pile of cash in a storage unit, imploring him to hang up his pork pie hat, get out of the drug business and return to family life. And there was a bit of normalcy in the final moments of "Breaking Bad's" last episode, until Hank broke open "Leaves of Grass" while sitting on the throne in Walt's bathroom. Now, it looks like we're heading toward a final reckoning as the show readies to premiere its last batch of new episodes, which will start airing Aug. 11.

We'll talk to the Emmy-nominated Gunn about wrapping the series and playing the headstrong Skyler for the last few years. To join, just click on the RSVP tab above and bring your questions. Just don't expect Gunn to dish too many specifics on the upcoming season. Walt wouldn't like that one bit.
- Complex: First and Last Episodes of "Breaking Bad" Screening in LA Cemetery This September
A Breaking Bad screening in LA's Hollywood Forever cemetery was officially announced this past February, but it's just now that we're actually getting some more details about the event.

It's not much, but it's enough: According to series star Aaron Paul, it will take place on September 29th in the famed cemetery, it'll include a screening of the very first and the very last episode of the series, and he'll definitely be present during the event (it's been previously reported that the entire cast will be). The cemetery grounds are often used by Cinespia to screen cult classic films, so holding a screening there is nothing new.

Paul also previously stated that all proceeds from the event will go to cancer research and drug rehab centres. The final eight episodes of Breaking Bad will begin airing on AMC on August 11th.
- AMC Content: Want to Travel With Bryan Cranston in an RV to the Breaking Bad Premiere?
Want to find out what it's like to spend time in an RV with Heisenberg? Bryan Cranston has teamed up with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) to take Breaking Bad's iconic Winnebago on one final ride to the Los Angeles premiere on Tue., Jul. 23, and they're offering one lucky fan the chance to join him. Between now and Wed., Jul. 17, fans who donate $10 or more to NCMEC at Omaze.com/BreakingBad will be automatically entered to win a trip for two to Los Angeles, where they'll travel by RV to the premiere and be Cranston's VIP guest at the after party. When you enter, not only do you get a chance at a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but you're also helping NCMEC in its mission to recover victims of child abduction nationwide.

I wish AMC's schedule would go further into the future :| My friends caught up with 1-4 on Netflix but haven't seen 5.1 yet and I'd like to watch 5.2 live with them when it happens :(

Finished my rewatch yesterday. Still good although some episodes were quite a drag. The transformation of Walt is still phenomenal.

I assume/I think it's part of the AMC-Netflix deal for the previous season of their shows to go up prior to the new season.

AMC will never make sense. Do this during the day get people hooked. I remember at odd times they did Mad Men episodes at 10am. Do this shit at 9 during the week instead of some random movie.

I have a good feeling we will get a teaser Sunday. Mostly likely a tease of a tease but I don't care.
