EDIT: No new clip, but apparently there's going to be some sort of a documentary about the making of the final season.
All 4 of those shows those are "top notch". To say there's only room for 3 is rather arbitrary. And besides, BB is definitely better than MM.
I really like the surrealism of BB. It's like an urban legend that gets a little crazier with each retelling.
Jesus fucking Christ, man. That "spoiler" is an incredibly vague, publicly released excerpt from a generic episode synopsis. It could mean any number of things, and is exactly the same as calling the synopsis of a movie a "spoiler".
This hyper-sensitive "I can't know anything about anything ahead of time" mind frame is ridiculous when you're in a discussion thread about that very topic. Implying that somebody should be banned for posting that is insane.
Official Heisenberg Hat and Box Set: Breaking Bad Collector's Edition ($195, Limited Run of <2000)Century-old hat makers, Goorin Bros., announces its collaboration with Breaking Bad to launch an exclusive collector’s edition hat and box set of the official Heisenberg hat. The official hat and box set includes a fine quality 100% American-made wool felt porkpie hat, a letterpress serial-numbered certificate of authenticity, custom interchangeable hat pins, Breaking Bad-themed butcher paper wrapping, and an American crafted round hat box.
Wow, you people sure are touchy about marked spoilers.
The problem is when you can infer what the spoiler is without highlighting it.
It was a question.
Hearing Reitman read Gilligans even more colorful stage directions and scene descriptions the stuff viewers never get to hear was a bonus. When Walt was unable to hold an erection while a distracted Skyler gave him his birthday jerk-off, the script noted, Apparently, theres no mighty oak sprung from whence the lowly acorn lies. The friends who showed up to his birthday were all science nerds with large Adams apples. And the montage of Walt cooking meth in the Winnebago for the first time was described as such: For those of us who grew up watching The A-Team, this is that scene they'd always do where the A-Team builds a tank or a jet plane out of spare parts. Same feeling, same energy except here, our guys are making highly illegal drugs. The evening was a welcome trip down memory lane heading into Breaking Bads final episodes. Remember when Walt worked part-time at the car wash Skyler would later buy to launder his money? Or that shed once had fleeting aspirations to publish a collection of short stories? And apparently, wed blocked out entirely Hank's beginnings as a singularly annoying buffoon. Because now, he's our hero.
Nice catch.Just a little tidbit I noticed while rewatching the series leading up to the next new episodes:
Every time Hank has gotten a drink for Walt, it's been wrong.
Gale makes Walt coffee. He says he drinks it black. Hank offers Walt a coffee and asks "Cream and sugar, right?" Walt agrees.
Walt is sitting at the bar with Mike and orders a drink with "no rocks." Walt is at Hank's. Hank offers Walt a drink, and asks, "Rocks, right?" Walt agrees.
This, to me, is a tiny way that Walt continues to make himself look weak in front of Hank, but strong in front of his "bad" coworkers. Drink the "unmanly" drinks as Walt. Drink the "manly" drinks as Heisenberg.
Just thought it was interesting.

Funny, because I had Noticed the drinks with Ice and I thought it was part if a different thread. It's like when Crazy Ate wants his sandwhich without the crust and then you see Walt cutting the crust off his sandwhich's after that. Mike takes his drinks with Ice and later you see Walt doing the same.
Have you noticed how Walt keeps mementos, often food characteristics, from the deaths he feels responsible for?
- He cuts the crust off his sandwiches, ala Krazy 8.
- He keeps the eyeball of the bear from the plane crash.
- He keeps the Leaves of Grass gift from Gale.
- He "uses kids," like Tomas's murderers.
- He affects the demeanor of Gus.
- He takes his drinks on the rocks, ala Mike.
And in the season 5 opener, he uses Skyler's maiden name and arranges his birthday bacon just the way she does.
Which leads us to the "Bacon Theory":

I checked this morning, and I don't see it up on the schedule. They usually rerun the previous season before the new one starts, so keep your fingers crossed. Is AMC going to do a first half of Season 5 marathon sometime before the premiere of the latter half? My mom needs to get caught up and she's too computer illiterate to find it on a website ... and I live too far away to help her.

Thanks for that. I couldn't find listings that far into the future, and I figured they'd air them eventually. It's a shame they aren't doing that marathon the previous weekend to give people a little more time, but I suppose the dvds are always an option. They're marathoning the whole half-season on Aug. 11. It starts at 12:30 PM EST and runs straight into the premier.

There's a better one for Gus. Gus drove a Volvo to hide in plain sight. Walt's New Hampshire car is a Volvo to hide in plain sight.Which leads us to the "Bacon Theory":
"Fring brought sea bass. Every time I grill it now, I make a little foil pouch, just like he showed me. The whole night we were laughing, telling stories, drinking wine. And hes somebody else completely. Right in front of me. Right under my nose."
I actually just got excited at seeing Jesse with hair again.
I wouldn't have bought it just because they wrote Jessie instead of Jesse D:Re-watching S5.1 in preparation for the second half and there's an awesome bit in the second episode. The police boss is talking to Hank and Gomi...
...Then the camera focuses directly on Hank for a few seconds, then cuts to a different scene.
Also, i saw this in a random clothes shop yesterday, which is strange because the show isn't really well known over here...
Of course, i bought it straight away.
I laughed entirely too hard at Bryan Cranstons new Breaking Bad tattoo on that Writer's Room episode.
Nice, he was on Leno last night but I can't stand that show.Aaron Paul will be on Conan tonight. (11pm EST, TBS)

You'll probably want to go this route. Seems like they're referring to the first eight episodes as "Season 5" and these last eight as "The Final Season," which leads me to believe that they'll just release them in a separate set altogether, with no combined release available... I'm not buying the first eight until I know what they're gonna do for sure, though.Well I'm sure not buying the DVDs until I can get the entirety of S5. And actually at that point I might just wait for whatever box set they put out.
