It depends - how long can you afford to live without an income? If it's really really fucking you then maybe get out of there, but getting used to working life IS hard, that's why people drink and smoke and don't exercise properly in real life. You get home from work, crash for an hour, make some dinner have a bath and go to bed. It's life and it takes ages to get used to.
But still, you could do with a job that you don't actively hate. Get on that!

I currently have a 360 and there is nothing that I wanted to play that I haven't. I moved to PC gaming but my PC is overdue a new build and that's gonna happen around July time once I am settled into my job and have some money saved up and when the new Intel processors are released (if not already, I'm rusty)

So we're going to see Book of Mormon tomorrow, really looking forward to it. Going to the matinee so will have dinner after then maybe stay out for a few drinks.

Seriously, they both have a fantastic library. You could easily pick 10-15 absolutely classic titles for both. I love them equally.
I've been invited out for someone's birthday on Saturday, only really know one person and I think I'm the only male going - so debating whether it is a good idea or not...
I want to do something tonight, maybe late night bowling but depends on who's about, a lot of my friends do overtime on a Friday night and I'm not sure why but yeah, I'll see who's about.
Daytime plans are pretty bland, playing video games and hoping for the best I suppose

3DS XL easily if you want a Nintendo system.
Lego City is very good, 2D Mario is 2D Mario in HD. You probably know what to expect from that. I'm sure you'll see cheap bundles soon enough and would probably wait for one instead.

Weekend plans: Sort out road tax and go to a 1 year anniversary party of this tabletop/lan/gaming place that's in my local town today. Maybe watch Iron Man 3 and UFC with the guys tomorrow and have a relaxing Sunday.
Nothing wrong with quitting your job if you hate but I just want to point out that you were constantly saying that you wanted a job when you were unemployed so don't just rage quit and then go looking for another job. Plan ahead. Stay in your current job and look for another one. When you know you got the new job THEN you quit. and even then don't rage quit and burn that bridge in case your new job is looking for a reference.

Do you do your lasagne from scratch then? One day I will try that, seems a lot of work though. It's one of the only things I'll use a jar of sauce for.

Thinking about getting Dark Souls after hearing Dan Trachtenberg talk about it last week. It sounds really hard but also reminds me of the thrill of the unknown that I used to get from gaming as a kid. I know nothing about the game and what it might be, and that's exciting. I'm the designated driver normally so I can't get drunk which sucks, would be interesting to play absolutely wasted though, I'm awful as it is so maybe being drunk my skills will improve.

It is hard, don't let anyone tell you otherwise, but damn, it's so rewarding. Plus, it's hard in the sense that you really need to know the game inside out; it's fair, as long as you play "properly".
I'd highly recommend it. Just read up on the basics (take your pick on the DS threads on GAF!) take your time, and be careful levelling up your character, focus on getting one or two attributes levelled up.
A general rule of thumb:
Endurance should be highest, you need it for everything, combos, evading, running, etc.
Strength or dexterity should be next, choose one or the other.
Then vitality. If you feel you need this particularly high, you probably aren't really playing it right.
Obviously, intelligence (magic) or faith (miracles) can be important if you're that way inclined.
So in short, awesome game, tough mistress, GAF got you back for pointers. Go, go, go Jed!
