Late with all the Daredevil talk but I just started to watch it this weekend and am about 6 episodes in. Loving it. Some of the shots they do are genuinely amazing, the hallway fight and the bit with the blind Chinese guy waiting in the car.

Chat rooms were where adolescent Qasiel learned his mad typing skills. MSN Messenger was where it was at after that, though.
Shattered. Finishing a night shift in 10 minutes but I've gotta cycle home before I can go to bed. Still, only 1 more night then it's drinks, Zelda concert then off to Cornwall for a week to go surfing (and look at potential wedding venues. But mainly surfing.)

I'm fine thanks Q. This week's been a little bit tricky so far work-wise but I'm looking forward to going to Nottingham on Saturday to visit the Video Game Museum and hanging out with some great dudes.
Also it's my birthday in a couple of weeks and we're going for new tattoos (bigger ones this time, scary). I've already planned out the one after this one. Very exciting!
Game wise (I know you didn't ask but who else can I talk to about it if not BritGAF??
) I finished The Order 1886. It was a really odd game. The graphics were beautiful and the world (although really small in game terms) had had a lot of love put into it. At the same time, it was infuriating because the lore and concept were fascinating but the story itself ended up being very video-gamey and cliched. The shooting was fun although there wasn't much flexibility in the encounters. If anyone wants to borrow it off me, they're welcome (I bought it 2nd hand to begin with). It's only about 7 or 8 hours long.
And then I've been mostly playing Demon's Souls (which feels a bit more video-gamey in its world design but also great - and really, really difficult) and Ico (which everyone knows is beautiful anyway).

If you get the chance, try to eat at Aubrey's Traditional Creperie for lunch. It is incredible. Also, True Red's/Annie's Burger Shack (if you aren't veggie which you probably are) or Alley Cafe for veggie goodness.

Did anyone ever go to the Tate modern video game thing? Someone I know went there last year and said quite a few of the exhibits were off and those that were working had dodgy controllers, said it was pretty underwhelming. Shame really.
No, I know Flower is in the Smithsonian collection and the New Yorker did a piece on Fumito Ueda but that's as far as I go with the formal recognition of games as art.

Never owned a ps3 so haven't played demons, looks good though. I do think there's a degree of hipster reverence for the game becasue it was the first.
It's good so far. It's a little bit rough around the edges, and all the character models are much smaller. The bosses feel more like puzzles too. It's absolutely kicking my bottom though. I'd forgotten what my first playthrough of Dark Souls was like.

I wanted to start Bloodborne today but it was sooooo sunny outside. Stupid games releasing when it's not cold and dark.
Wait for the performance patch.
That's what I'm doing. Also waiting until the topography of the game is a bit more established and word gets out around which bosses are the hardest. I like being intimidated!
