Bungie is hiring a "Gameplay Analyst" for Marathon. Must have over 200 hours in Escape from Tarkov...

Redneckerz

Those long posts don't cover that red neck boy

The job also requires...

"Actively Play Ranked Modes in COD Warzone, Apex, or Rainbow Six: Siege."

It looks like this is a job that requires 0 hard technical skills. You just have to love Extraction Shooters and PvP multiplayer video games.

''Actively is unaware of Concord's game mechanics''

''Thinks Dustborn is a new Desert-themed Babyborn''

''Knows how to pitch sales words so outlets like Digital Foundry make 3 video's on them (''Raytraced Global Ilumination'', ''Screen-Space Occlusion'', ''Monte-Carlo Pathtracing'')

My buddy almost fits this to a T, thousands of hours of ranked CS and thousands of hours of tarkov lol

More MP games should have that type of requirement imho

If someone is going to help in that area of development, it makes sense that it should be someone with actual real time playing those MP games in the first place

It would be interesting to see what types of games the creatives at Bungie (Marathon) have been playing over the last 3 or so years. I would assume they've all been hammering the Extraction Shooter genre themselves, but you never know...

Sony buys Bungie to teach them how to make GAAS games, Bungie looking to hire analyst to teach them how to make games.

This sound like a good idea but they shoukd hire like 50 of these guys to have a broad spectrum of opinions, not only one or a couple.

Yes, but it;s one thing to have logged hours playing a game. It's an entirely other thing to be able to analyze the gameplay and systems and give constructive criticism... and then it's another thing entirely to be able to articulate thate constructive criticism in the most optimum way such that devs can respond to it adequately.

Back when Blizzard was working on WoW they hired a whole bunch of people (most notably former VP and Overwatch lead director Jeff Kaplan and Cosby-Suite Mastermind Alex Afrasiabi) solely because they were good at Everquest. IIRC they both held entirely unrelated jobs before that, Afrasiabi was a nurse, I think.
