Yesterday, Bungie filed a lawsuit against an individual named Nicholas Minor also known as "Lord Nazo". Minor ran a YouTube channel that was hit by a series of takedowns from Bungie's brand protection vendor, CSC Global, for uploading Destiny's original soundtracks in December 2021, which were taken down by YouTube in January this year.

Huh? people upload OSTs all the time on YouTube, was there anything special about this one? it's an "old" game too.

The dude is a complete idiot and he was masquerading as a Bungie representative and was issuing his own DMCA takedowns against other YouTubers. He deserves his nuts kicked over this.

So basically, everytime Youtube receives a complain from anyone, they just say "YES" without checking if its legit or not. Oh, well done, Youtube!

Its how they've worked for years, it means somebody can masquerade as a music licensing company and basically steal peoples money from new youtube videos by claiming them and then dropping the claim after 30 days, meaning they get all the income from the 30 days they had control of the video
