I'm generally not big on FPS online games outside of Battlefield, but the way Bungie are aiming to integrate MP into the SP story experience really intrigues me.

I'm just not sure I'll be able to give it the time it deserves.

I don't remember Halo 2, 3, or Reach having major connection issues at launch. It was the settings and playlist management that were terrible.

Beta testing and launch are very different things and Destiny is a much bigger scale for them.

Ah, alright then. Then only Bungie beta I've played was the Reach beta. I remember it being totally down for long stretches of time, but it was solid when it was working, haha.

Yeah, it was pretty crazy. I wish them all the best and if they want a beta test, we will give them a serious testing. How it performs on day 1 and how quickly they react to problems could make or break it.

That's not confirmed, is it? All Bungie has said officially is "early 2014."

Edit : Yeah, their website doesn't mention February anywhere.

How likely is a PS4/Destiny bundle at this point? That is probably the only way I would get a PS4 the first year as no other game interests me.

Right now I have it pre-ordered for the 360 and may well double dip down the line. But I'm pretty confident that the 360 version will have the largest playerbase initially and from what I'm hearing, the 360 controller still reigns supreme.

Very likely. It's been hinted at by Sony in some interviews.

You could always pre-order it, play the beta and cancel your pre-order afterwards. They said they have no problems with that due to not knowing what platform etc.

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Maybe they'll release a PS2 version, who knows. Until Bungie or Activision have said that they're making a PC version, I wouldn't expect one.
