Seems pretty limited in scope considering the effort to team up for it.
For one day only, five burger rivals will join forces to create the Peace Day Burger. Even better? The limited-time burger mashup will be free.
Catch it while you can though. The burger collaboration will be scarcer than an Olive Garden never-ending pasta pass. Only 1,500 will be available on Monday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at a pop-up location in Atlanta to coincide with Peace Day.
It will contain ingredients from Denny's Bacon Slamburger, Wayback's Wayback Classic, Krystal's Cheese Krystal, Giraffas' Brutus and Burger King's Whopper sandwiches.
Each brand will also donate money to Peace One Day, a nonprofit organization devoted to raising awareness and encouraging action on Peace Day.
The launch follows an earlier attempt by Burger King to join forces with fast food giant McDonald's to create the McWhopper in honor of Peace Day. The CEO of Its golden arches rival, Steve Easterbrook, rebuffed the offer, writing the chains "could do something bigger to make a difference."
After this, the other four brands all extended their own offers to collaborate with Burger King, and it accepted earlier this month.
While the McWhopper did not officially hit menus, that didn't stop customers from assembling their own versions.
"Inadvertently, the McWhopper has 100 percent become a reality for some. The public wholeheartedly embraced the campaign and thousands of DIY McWhoppers have been created, reviewed and shared on social media," Fernando Machado, Burger King's senior vice president for global brand management, said in a release
