That is not a quote. If you're trying to get me in trouble with the moderators or something, you'd better try harder. I figured you were better than outright lying about things I've said. I sell on many other forums and all have basic rules that are clear and enforced. This though is single thread dedicated to us trading and selling, there is no individual threads and we are all sharing the same store front=thread. This more than a sub forum dedicated fs/t thread should warrant more of respect for individual sellers, traders and buyers.

And even without very clear ground rules there should be a little self policing. If a complaint is valid and seems to be coming up often like those that keep reposting a very long image heavy post you should expect those doing it to acknowledge the complaint and stop doing it. Its unfair to the other sellers and traders who are sharing the thread.


Also have 4 suggestions.

-Hours rather than waiting every 150 post. A lot of forums follow this rule. 12-24 hours before you can repost your items though you can edit the original. Also, once reposted the previous post should be edited if was heavy on images and text.

-Image amount and size limit along with maybe a text limit. Something basic like 3-5 images no bigger than 640x420. The less images the bigger they can be but no bigger than 1024x768. Also no wall of text which could maybe better enforced by may limiting the amount of items you can have for sale at given time to maybe 1-10.

-We should adopt Heatware and and abandon the Google document so we can cleary check and leave feedback rather than cluttering the thread. I doubt any of is really checks it. We can also link Heatware right under our posts for easy view.

-Thread title should reflect the date of the amended rules. ie, something like...please read new rules before posting.

What the FUCK are you talking about? That is a god damned lie.

I still really feel that 150 posts before a repost is a better way to handle it, though I know that you disagree on it. It does two things really well that a 100-post minimum simply can't do. It gives three pages of time for new items to crop up if you're on the standard GAF post listing style. It gives a page and a half if you're on the 100-post-per-page option. If it were 100, you'd be seeing a bunch of reposts if you used the 100 posts option. A lot of them see it twice per page now.

But like I've said before, I am more than willing to compromise on this one and try out a 100 post minimum if a bunch of people feel like it should be 100, and everyone would agree to abide by it. If you're willing to work with me, you should know that I'm willing to work with you.

He makes a good point though-- and one I've made before. You can ignore / adblock me or any other seller than you're tired of seeing. No seller has ever posted more than once per default 50 post page.

Once per 50 posts is far too often. If everyone followed that suggestion, and from what I see, many people unfortunately do, we end up with bursts of "for the new page" and in reality, it's only been maybe one day since we last saw the post.

The more frequently people repost, the more frequently people feel the need to repost. It snowballs and gets really annoying. If people would repost less often, posts would stay on the most recent pages for much longer.

I really appreciate photos, as long as they are relatively small and ideally have a link to full-size. We just don't need to see them every other day. It actually drives away potential sales. To use you as an example, I have seen your same post so often that even if you added new stuff, I wouldn't know because I now immediately scroll past your entire post every time.

Yep. We operated for MONTHS with no problems until about a month where the excessive bumping of text and image heave post became annoying to many as it was becoming so blatant.
