Boy this situation sure turned into a headache. For those tuning in, I accidentely sent $200 to a seller through Paypal (they wanted Best Buy e-gift), which they didn't have. I couldn't cancel it because it was through good and services, the reps I spoke to said they couldn't cancel it, and the seller couldn't do anything as their account had been inactive for years.

So the Paypal rep told me to wait until the payment completed and then call my bank, so I could avoid any negative hits to my account if I put a stop payment. I call my bank today, and the rep says that is not the case. She calls Paypal while I'm on the phone, we get transferred THREE TIMES, and she even argues with the third rep over how I should have been instructed to contact the bank while the payment was processing, not after.

It was almost an hour with this shit, but thankfully I got a super good bank rep who knew her stuff, so the steps have been taken to get my money back. Just need to hang back and wait, but she assures that the request for the refund should proceed without any problems.

Though this whole situation was my fault, I'm now imposing a self-rule that I will never, EVER do business with anyone who doesn't use Paypal. Their customer service is shitty as hell, but if the other person had an account this whole mess would have been resolved way faster. So for convenience sake, I'm sticking to Paypal-only transactions.

We had £150 PS4's a month ago(stock clearance by Sony,most stores reduced prices for 2 days) so it's not that great for the UK, but it's slightly cheaper than the prices you can pick up second hand due to the games.
