Yeah lots of hitching/stutter unfortunately. Did a bunch of troubleshooting but it was either their servers or the game doing some weird things itself.

Which gamepass version is it btw that allows you to play this on PC?
Didnn't experience stutter myself personally, could be your build or the net speed.

I have some 14 day gamepass codes kicking around. Ive pm'd you one. Enjoy!

Live now in new Zealand mate ;)

Midnight UK time officially.

Ive never done the new Zealand trick. Do I just change my location in the xbox settings?

we should get a load of gaf members into a lobby and cream racist comments at each other.

This is a joke...on the comments....But we should all play

If I use the New Zealand trick will the lag be unbearable for multiplayer? I don’t really want to touch the campaign until the pro is here in a fortnight, and also can I change the country back to UK straight away after “unlocking” the game, or do I have to wait until tomorrow.

Activision have done away with early access in Black Ops 6, including the campaign which usually drops first to give players a headstart. This means that the single-player story, multiplayer, and Zombies all go live on the October 25 global release date.

However, there is a way to get into the action ahead of time, so here’s how to play BO6 early using the New Zealand trick and when you’ll be able to access it.

Black Ops 6 New Zealand trick explained

Xbox

  1. Head into your console’s settings.
  2. Scroll down to System.
  3. Select ‘Language and Location.’
  4. Go to ‘Location’ and change it to New Zealand.
  5. Click ‘Restart Now’ to reboot your console and let the change take effect.
  6. Then, head to the official Call of Duty website.
  7. Log into your account.
  8. Head to the ‘Basic Info’ tab.
  9. Edit your address to New Zealand.
  10. Click ‘Save.’

PC (Game Pass)

  1. Go into your Windows settings.
  2. Head to ‘Time and Language.’
  3. Select ‘Region.’
  4. Change your location to New Zealand.
  5. Restart your PC.
  6. Log back into the Xbox app and the currency should have changed to NZDs.
  7. Head to the Call of Duty website and repeat the steps above to change your Activision account region too.

PS5

  1. Go to the official Call of Duty website.
  2. Login to your account.
  3. Select the ‘Basic Info’ tab.
  4. Change your country to New Zealand.
  5. Save the changes.
In the past, the New Zealand trick has been more difficult on PlayStation, as multiplayer is released as individual packs rather than baking it into the CoD HQ app. However, with MW3 and now Black Ops 6, the method is possible once again.

PS4

PS4 is a little more complicated, as Black Ops 6 is being released to the Call of Duty HQ app as content packs. So, it’s currently unclear if the NZ trick will work this year.

There’s also the issue that PSN locks your account to a specific region when you create it, with no way to change it later. In the past, players have gotten around this by creating a new account, choosing a New Zealand address, and purchasing a game through that country’s PlayStation Store.

See above pal.

No will be on your nearest server. Change back tomorrow.

Maybe a gradual release based on server capacity to ensure they don’t go down?

Eh....I guess? Imagine paying $70 and having to wait that long to get into the game. I'm just interested trying the campaign myself.

Has COD ever gone down day 1? I know other games have had disastrous day 1 releases because of server issues.

Got mastery camo yet?! I’m getting fomo
I really dont know if I am grinding all camos this time around if I am being honest

Side note already shutting off crossplay with PC players, just ran into the godfather of COD or he had "help", final kill cam was highly sus and he put up 53 eliminations in hardcore TDM

Why the fuck not just do a global release... Now I have to change all of that shit just to play a day early.
Its the way the unlocks work on consoles I believe. Same with why Steam and Bnet being locked to a global unlock.

Probably for the best anyways couldn't imagine the servers holding if every COD player in the world tried to log in at the same time.
