Got my copy from Amazon. Played a few SP missions. I like it so far.
Also played some MP matches. Only a small sample but man, I was really hoping the lag/latency issue that plagued CoD4 would be fixed but it's the same old same old. Guess that's what you have to live with with peer-to-peer hosting.

Got past the slums on the part in
. Then BAM, my TV shuts off... my cat walked behind the TV and hit the reset button on the power strip...
Question though, my squadmates died during that part, can they survive through it if I try hard enough?

Do we have any early sales indications? Any estimates on whats its predicted to do within the first 24 hours, first 3 days, opening week, first month and till the end of the year?
I have a marketing class in an hour or so, this would be good information to have.
Edit: I found Mr. Pachter expects 10-13 Million by end of the year. I was more interested in the first 3 days and first 24 hours... It would be nice to shock my classmates with "biggest entertainment product launch" is a video game and not some movie, and the one before this was also a video game! (GTA4 right?) :lol

Got it last night at midnight and only played about an hour online so far.. seems faster then cod4? I don't know but i really like it.
I also would like to put my vote in the (no party chat) is bullshit camp.. I cant stress how much I hate it..

ps. I was in game that said no party chat allowed but I was still able to be in a private chat with one person? is this true?

I'm really enjoying Veteran difficulty this time around. It's challenging, but not cheap like in Call of Duty 4. I'm half way through Special Ops and I'm guessing about 75% done in single player and I haven't had a bad experience yet.

play a couple of hours now... i like the singleplayer...BUT it doesn't "wow" me like killzone 2 did (itbwas one of my favourit fps experience since a very long time). but i guess there are more things to come. but i keep them for tomorrow. i don't want to finish it in one night. one more thing: the graphics are awesome. holy shit! well done infinity ward. well done. this is what i expect from a current gen game! thank you for delivering such a great visual experience!

Nearly to everyone at some point or another, so far mostly related to the required patch to play online. Some that downloaded the patch the very first moment before starting got no problem, others (again including myself and people I know) just didn't got any trophies not even appeared on the playlist, the "solution" was to erase the patch start a new game and save the first time you got a trophy, the download the patch again. Others after patch, are getting trophies for stuff done online, but not in in single player.....and a few get trophies in some cases and not in others (which seems to be your problem too)..wind_steaker said:
Another thing is that you can't compare trophies with anyone that has the "trophy glitch"..just stops at 92% and says there was an error..

So I completed the game, and while it's nothing like Uncharted 2, I just found the single player a bit... I dunno, nothing amazing. I prefer the CoD4 single player personally.
Respawning enemies are ridiculous this time round. The strawberry jam too, is just beyond silly. The story was like something out of 24 Season 6, but compressed into 5 hours and with the silliness level cramped up to 10. The controversial level wasn't controversial at all. I was more annoyed by the forced walk then anything.
I suppose some of these are nit picky, and thankfully the multiplayer will make up for it. It just felt like, CoD4 with extra levels. Nothing particularly amazing.

Played for 3 hours and am Level 15. Really addictive game. However the single player isn't drawing me in yet.

I did the Amazon release day thing and they delivered it next door, and delivered a package to my house that was supposed to go next door. Weird. I called her and we exchanged mis-delivered packages.

It's a reverse situation of William's Pinball where the retail disc for 360 was 1000 but the PS3 disc was given the fewer PSN/Arcade style trophies.
Well no fucking game for me cause Amazon fucked up their release date delivery and I never got it.
Amazon has come through big in the past for me so ill continue to use them (especially since im gonna get AC 2 for 25$ lulz) But they fucked up pretty big on the biggest release ever.
