Sitrep can be helpful if you're not used to looking for enemy equipment (or just to be safe). Steady Aim is probably good with the shotguns, but I haven't tried it yet, and most of them have good hip-fire anyway.

Stalker Pro might be useful but its non-pro version is generally useless for shotgun classes. Similarly, Marksman (non-pro) might be useful to identify enemies. Dead Silence Pro is also helpful for running wherever you want (including jumping off places without taking damage).

I agree. I have some px21s and a lot of times during the match I'll stop if I think I heard an enemy soldier around. It's especially useful for those rambo guys who aren't being picked up by UAV and think they can run freely.

Blops emblem customization and title artstyle; how did IW not realize Treyarch did this one thing better? As for their relationship, maybe they're both competing for lead developer now that IW is just a shell of its former self. After trying some more Blops just this past week, one thing IW did right is their game isn't a snoozefest. Such uninspired, vanilla maps at least MW3 denseness artificially created shit to happen in a constant basis.

Interesting. Looks solid- wish they'd put a disclaimer about how proficiencies might affect different guns within a group differently. Maybe the Models don't need Range, but need Damage, for example. I think I'd rather have damage for the KSG since even at pretty close range, it's not a one hit kill. I can deal with not being able to hit the enemy at a distance if I can guarantee one shot kill at close range.

You're spot on with the Model's comment. TestofTide pointed this out before: SPAS is more consistent up close but weaker at range and the Model's spread maintain damage at range, but is weaker up close.

Is it just me or Elite is in German today? Not the main text, but if you go to IMPROVE and click on any weapon, it shows everything in German. Also the maps won't open...

I was JUST coming here to post this.

I freaked at first, because I assumed the worst, and thought someone hacked my XBL account, changed the region, and then that changed the Elite language :p

Man, I really want that founder double XP to help me gain some levels tonight (just prestiged last night), but I'm not getting any of the founder bonuses. Do I need to do something more than I've done already?

- I've entered the marketplace code.
- Elite app recognizes me as premium and founder and have for about a week.
- Registered for an account on the website and linked my gamertag to it. The website now remembers that I was in the elite beta and I have a green founder skull next to my name... But no red premium skull like in the app? Am I supposed to have one?

I'm convinced if the KSG-12 had a "double tap" Proficiency which increased rate of fire (i.e. sped up re-pump animation), it'd be just as viable as the other shotguns (assuming they're far better than it).

Can someone explain in detail the Specialist Package. I can get the kill perks like Marksman, Extreme Conditioning but how do you get the kill streaks?

Those are your kill streaks. Get 2 kills- get a PERK instead of something else like a UAV or Care Package or Predator. Instead of having something else get kills for you or assist you, you're stacking perks to assist you. It's good for gaining points, not necessarily good for getting "free kills." It can be useful though once you get 8 kills in a row and you get pretty much every perk in the game.

The extra perks are the kill streaks. You get the 3 standard perks but the specialist package allows you to pick 1 more from each of the 3 perk lists to get at 2, 4, and 6 kills. At 8 kills you unlock all perks. When you die you go back to the 3 perks you chose in the class menu.

I feel like it's much better than the other two kill streak lists and makes me feel like a badass. Soon as I get 2 kills I unlock scavenger which just helps me flow easier, quick draw at 4, and finally stalker at 6. Allows me to not worry about UAV, be able to accurately fire from the hip, and reload quick if I spam a little too much in the first 2 kills.

It's a lot less frustrating too since you can pick the perk you want the most to unlock at only 2 kills, instead of worrying about slow-playing that 7th/9th/13th/etc kill for your favorite kill streak.

Green = founder

Red = Elite

Green skull is good. They're working on rolling out the double xp to people now I believe.

Okay that makes sense. I thought I read in the MW3 Strategy Book that you get 2-4-6 perks THEN you could pick any 3 killstreaks you want,which is evidently false. I haven't been able to get to 6 yet..Only the 2-4 perks.

No stalker pro? I've already have numerous times where I rush into a building, run through an enemy claymore or bouncing betty, demolish the one of two people in inside and easily find a safe spot from the explosive before it goes off. Plus it helps to not lose any speed if for whatever reason you need to aim down the sight to make your shots as accurate as possible (i tend to aim down the sight to get the most out of ranged shots from the USAS.

SmokeMaxX, if you are doing that decently with the KSG, I suggest you use those skills to try and level of the USAS. It pretty much as the same range for 1HKs but fires faster and has a decent range for two hit kills.

Everytime I play a CoD game, I always play all of the guns extensively. I've already played all of the SMGs and leveled them up as high as I wanted to the first run through. I'm pretty much done with the ARs as well. Just gotta finish a couple that I just unlocked (AK47 and all of them after that) and then I'll move on to the shotguns. Just wanted to see what all the fuss was about with the KSG. It's not an amazing gun, but still viable. I just think MW2 held people's hands too much and was just using the KSG to see if it really was god-awful or if it was actually a decent gun.

I'll make sure to play around with the USAS though. I know the Striker was wrecking fools when I was using it and the SPAS has always been a favorite of mine since CoD4.

You're still a bit confused.

You pick your normal 3 perks, like you do for any class. Then you pick what perks you want to receive at kills 2-4-6. Once you get to kill #8, you get all of the perks.

Do you get access to better equipment as you level up?

How are people even accessing the Elite site? I signed up for the free account, but as soon as I hit the button that says "Enter Call of Duty Elite", it gives me the "throttled" page saying they're too busy.


I'm beginning to think that they've closed off the service to new members for now, and are just trying to get things stable for those who are already in. What a clusterfuck. A week after launch and it's still unusable for most people.

Well that's fine, but I'm apprehensive to pay until I can actually see what the free stuff offers me, and whether or not it actually works. So far I have yet to get the site or the Xbox app to work even once. That doesn't exactly inspire confidence to hand them $50.

Have you tried now because it's working pretty flawlessly. Being that it is morning with low traffic.

I think they need to extend the founder status again. I don't want to spend $50 on something I cannot even get into.

I got the Silver title and red/blue skull emblem 2 days ago, including the Double XP.

But I've still yet to recieve my Founder's content :(

wtf is this shit, downloaded the elite app on ps3, created my account, tells me to verify my email, I do it, now it tells me to login to activate 2h xp, I click on login and I'm at the register site o_O

Yes please, it doesn't help when you watch the kill cam and you realise you were killed by a bullet aimed like 3 feetaway from your body. Terrible.

I'm surprised there isn't more hate on it here. All, and I mean ALL of my annoyingly fanboy cod lover friends have dropped the game due to it's issues and are just playing mw2.

If they nerf quickscoping, I demand grenades/launchers to have danger close damage. Only so that I can continue to quickscope with the XM25.
