Yep, it is possible to cheat with the stats. I'm amazed that they still havnt fixed this bug. It was been there is every CoD game since at least CoD4 (not sure if it was in Black Ops though). The people on top of the leaderboards have like killstreaks of 5555 etc.

I guess that the stats is more cool between friends that you know arent manipulating the stats.

My stats glitched as soon as I prestiged. My points per match is insanely high, and my matches played dropped to zero.

Have no idea how it happened, but I've already seen it happen to other people on my friends list when they prestiged. Hopefully IW figures it out.

Oh ok, i didnt know about that. But there are also manipulated scores on the leaderboards though. Even just a few days after the launch, the first place had top prestige, which would be impossible to get legit.

Nope. ErnestLe legit got 10th prestige before anyone else. He was the first in the world to get it on either the 360 or PS3. He had the game before it got released. In his youtube videos he mentioned he played it 14-15 hours a day. he says he's never doing that again. ;)

True, they opened the servers like a day before the release date (i got the game 4 days before release, but online didnt work to begin with). At least it was like that with the PS3 version, cant say for sure how it was with the PC and Xbox 360 version.

But still, it would be impossible to get it legit that fast. I'm assuming that it is 10 prestige levels like it is in MW2, right? And if you're really good, i think you can prestige in 10 hours. It is simply not possible to reach top prestige in 3-4 days even if you play 24 hours constantly. I could see that it is possible in maybe a week. How long did that ErnestLe guy use?

I didnt say that he was manipulating it, i just say that there are some manipulation going on on the leaderboard in general. On PS3 there is like a guy who have 5555 killstreak, which is impossible because the killstreak doesnt transfer from one game to another (at least it wasnt like that in MW2). And there are also people who have maybe 100k+ kills in less than 100 matches, also impossible. Unless there is a big leaderboard bug, then it is manipulation.

But regarding that ErnestLe guy, i'm actually watching a video of him right now :) I also forgot about the specialist bonus stuff and the double XP. Doing this will definitely make the leveling up faster. Then i can see that it is possible to get top prestige in maybe 4-5 days.

I don't get it. I'm so much fucking better at this game when I play during the day. I just played for an hour and was around 2.0 K/D in all of my matches, including a 36-13 game on Dome (the best I've had so far in this game). Last night, on the other hand, I think I went negative in every game but one over the course of an hour.

It's either something about the people who play during the day versus at night, or it has to do with the connection quality I have depending on how many other people are online. I don't know what it is, but I've been noticing it since I got the game and it's not my imagination. Pretty annoying.

Well, you forget that when you prestige, some stats reset and some don't. When I first prestiged, It said I had only played 14 games which is impossible. It's IW's fault the stats are messed up like they are. I didn't even know it until someone else in the GAF clan wondered why I only played 14 games and was on my first prestige already.

He's a beast man. I have 82 hours played and only on my 3rd prestige :(

I should make 4th sometime this weekend though (level 62 now). I don't understand how he was able to do all of that with only 48 hours more than I have. Oh well!

The only reason I'm prestiging like I am is because I have a sneaking suspicion that the amount of times you prestige will be a bonus in the next IW game; just like how you got tokens this time for past prestiges. I'm probably crazy in thinking that though. I'm sitting at 9,929 kills as of right now. I'm looking forward to breaking 10k already.

That is what i ment with the bug, so i'm not forgetting about it :) But then something big is affecting the leaderboard if it affects that many. But if that is the case, hopefully they fix it.

Also just a small correction, i watched a movie by someone else actually eventhough i searched for EarnestLe on Youtube. In that video the guy mentioned that someone had been removed from the leaderboard due to boosting/hacking (here). And the 400 XP stuff was just some big bonus stuff, otherwise it was 100 XP.

Ah I thought you mean the bug as in people were boosting those stats. One guy in the PS3 GAF clan has like 429 wins in a row. I don't see how that's possible.

Have you guys noticed where you shoot and kill someone and you get nothing (not even +50 popping up)? It's no lagging but you get no credit. It happened to me several times last night and made me wonder what happened.

The stats are indeed flawed, according to them I already killed 2 guys with bouncing betties(?!) even though I have yet to use them.

Maybe most of the stats are just simply some leaderboard bug afterall. I wonder if they can fix it without having to resetting everything.

If you shoot or destroy a bouncing betty and an enemy is next to it, then that kill can be registered as a bouncing betty kill. It have happened a few times to me.

EDIT: Already mentioned :) I also didnt know that flashbangs could set off bouncing bettys. Is it the flash that sets them off or do you have to hit the bouncing betty with the flashbang itself?

No, assisted suicide is if you shoot a guy while he jumps down from something, and the fall kills him because the damage you did to him.

You can get assisted suicide if they kill themselves in any way. Like if you do damage and they semtex a wall next to them and die you'll get points for it.

Hey, seriously, is this game actually working out for anyone? I see people posting up gameplay of what looks like a pretty cool game where people shoot at each other...where can I buy that? Is it just the PS3 right now with absurd lag or am I missing something?

I play against people who are consistently doing well in the lobby too, but I literally just die repeatedly and watch a real interesting kill cam that shows crazy shit over and over. It's like I am playing a schizophrenic who thinks he's doing stuff like shooting and being real careful watching corners, but I'm really just sitting there in a coma getting shot. What is going on that there are guys doing really well? Anyone here? PS3?

I thought maybe I've gone crazy but I popped in black ops and railed off some good 3kd games being pretty aggressive, I am literally .8 in MW3, I don't even know how because most of the time I think I am 5 - 20 or something. It's so frustrating.

Honestly, for every good game I got, there is one I did bad in or had to resort to different tactics to do good. It feels like a flip of the coin sometimes, I'll do bad in a match and find that the stats of the players who kill me are horrible and kill players who should be beasts with ease. Just the same, I know that some of the players I kill were probably at a disadvantage to me too, it's just how it goes sometimes. I'll admit I do find the lag in this game to be.... unusual.

Prestiged for the first time, got a token, was in the menu selecting my gear to unlock, and the game freezes. I reboot my Xbox, and my token is gone and I have nothing unlocked. So furious. I even went back to black ops and prestiged to get another token, nothing happened.

So basically, I prestiged and got no token. Blaaaaaaaaaraaaah!!!!

That sucks. The one for Black Ops will show up eventually, though. It might take a couple of days, from what I've heard.

I'm pissed. I thought the trophy system unlocked at 40, but nope, it's 45. A few more levels to go. I'm tired of getting killed by predator missiles.

I think I am done with this game until they improve it big time. It's just too frustrating that this game is in to much favor of the Assault Rifles and Machine pistols and even more frustrating with the shitty lag in every game even when i am host. And it's now impossible for me to get good game since my CRT broke and I am forced to play on HDTVs with input lag. My K/D in Black Ops was 1.3, but in this game it is notably descending. I expect that if i keep playing it's going to go below 1.0.

Yeah, this game has pissed me off way too much. I had a 2 K/D in Black Ops and this game I'm stuck at 1.3 because of all the stupid technical issues this game has. I'll have one game where nobody will spawn behind me and I'll go 30-2, and then the next game I'll have all kinds of BS happen and go like 5-20.

Yeah, I'm with you. I've noticed that I'm not having fun anymore, even when I'm doing quite well. The lag, spawns, shoddy maps/objective locations, low health, poor matchmaking, etc. are just too much. There are so many design and technical incompetencies that the game struggles to feel fair or fun.

Oh well, plenty else to play...

This game can be frustrating as hell. I've been having really terrible games all weekend and not catching any breaks. Constantly getting shot from the back, running into a huge number of campers who just sit in a corner or lay prone somewhere... Just been feeling like the unluckiest player on earth which is really pissing me off cos I was doing quite well earlier this week. Oh well, I hope this unlucky streak doesn't last too long.

Are there any EU gaffers on the 360 clan? Looks like all the players I've seen online are from the States and I'm not sure if I should come stink up their games if I'm playing with the biggest lag..

yes, it matters to me. I don't play objective anyway unless I get stuck with it in Ground War.

I had the same issue someone else mentioned about prestige tokens not unlocking when prestiging. :(

I have a friend who has a 5.something K/D, but he camps, dashboards and plays like a bitch to get it, im much happier with a 2.something K/D but with a high SPM, its a shame they took that stat away from MW3. A good K/D and a high SPM, where a much better sign of a good player than just a high K/D is.

Congrats on your MOAB but I was not impressed by that at all. That video shows you how flawed this game is. At no point (until after you got your MOAB) did the opposing team spawn behind you. I can count how many times you shot the opposing team in the back.

I don't wanna take anything away from you but that game was pure luck. It's all based on how your teammates play the opposing team, your connection and how the game decides to spawn you and the enemy.

You were the loan gunman so you pretty much kept killing them unsuspected and unnoticed since you had a silencer and your teammates had them pinned in various locations.

- 0:58 such a great feature isn't it?
- 2:12 your team spawns in front of you (making you safe)
- 3:14 look at player placement on radar
- 3:38-4:16 the entire opposing team spawns literally right in front of you (you slaughter them)

An example of why I quit this game and never went back.

It was far from pure luck, obviously some luck is required whenever a MOAB is achieved and usually the other team have to be pretty bad but that video showed he knows the spawn flow of a tdm game and knows what engagements to back away from (eg 1.55 opponent had head glitch advantage and 2:08 opponent had ADS advantage). A bad player would've gone for those kills regardless. It was a good MOAB as far as I can see.
