Imo the multiplayer gameplay is like a combination of MW2019 and Cold War. I personally think the core gameplay is very good and much better than what’s come out the last 3 years (Cold War, Vanguard, MW2).

Don’t you dare diss my Cold War!

I agree it’s good. Vanguard wasn’t my favourite, but it had combat pacing which was great, and also the game mode patrol - would be good to see these implemented as core features in all future games.

Actually spoke with a cheater last night who was on my team as we were playing Kill Confirmed on Rust and he didn't want people picking up tags as he was racking up tons of kills

He said he has all the latest hacks and always stays ahead of Ricochet because he pays $20 a month for the most up to date hacks

Not only imagine cheating, not only imagine paying a one time fee for cheats but imagine a monthly sub just to cheat at videos games

There's people on youtube selling hacks. Came across a Division 2 player that was selling hacks to boost XP for a month ($25), 158 SHD level increase ($5) and other 'services'.

People asking him why he was doing it. His answer: 'Just trying to make an honest living'

....Christ on a bike

I’m sure I am in the minority here, but the campaign has been more than passable. I’m playing on Hardened and am about halfway through.

If people are claiming they beat the game in 3 hours, then they played it on recruit and blew through the missions and open combat stuff. They had to have skipped the cutscenes too. I’ve easily put 5 or so hours into it at this point.

Is the game a 10/10? Hell no. Is it a 4/10? Absolutely not. Campaign alone is a 7/10 and factor in the MP and zombies, and it’s an easy $70 purchase for me.

This is where I’m putting on a tinfoil hat, but I think the game is paying a MS review tax here. Way too convenient that the acquisition goes through and the first game out the gate is absolutely trashed in reviews.

It's still the shortest campaign ever by a Longshot and not only that but most of the levels are recycled Warzone maps, which don't even have the same graphical quality as the classic campaign levels. That deserves an awful score if you ask me.

The wife bought this for my birthday (usually get jackets, or clothes, nice surprise this year) and although I was not feeling it during both open beta's, I find myself enjoying this game a ton. The campaign is underwhelming, but I wouldn't rate it as low as 4 or even call it terrible. I liked it even more than Cold War's campaign. I feel like COD needs to go back to that bombastic campaigns, the original MW - MW3 type of spectacle. The last great campaign was for me, Infinite Warfare.

MP feels great with the increased mobility, reduced visual recoil and increased TTK. I never really did play the original MP for MW2 so these maps are mostly new to me. They feel good to play in, feels a bit large for 6v6 but I think the faster movement speed compensates a bit for this. Definitely feels better than last year's MW2, and I can see myself playing for a while.

Not so sure how I feel about MWZ though. Outbreak in CW left a better impression. It was a simple game mode, a squad drops in a large map, run around completing objectives and kill zombie hordes. MWZ seems a tad over-complicated.

Some maps are bigger now. Not only did they adjust some of the cover, but some maps like Sub Base has got to be 50% bigger(?). Estate seems bigger too. But some maps like Terminal, Skidrow, Rundown, Invasion seem very similar.

The time to kill in the 2009 game is larger, since recoil in old games were much higher. Unless you had an accurate gun (sniper, semi-shot rifle, burst rifle or the legendary ACR), trying to kill someone from a long distance was much harder to do than in this game.

Zombies is fun , past zombies action comes to u in this zombies u can play at Ur own pace , that red zone is pure insanity especially for a solo player

What are youre thoughts on the Armory unlocks?
For a casual like me, it’s great. Gives me something to work to everyday with the hour or so I have to play.

Fully understand why more committed players don’t like it though. Also, at the moment they’re bugged, which is the main issue.

The invisibility "glitch" which I have run into twice on PS only lobbies (not how to do it just someone showing it in action)

Being level 55 and having only seen this twice myself it isnt a huge issue but still sad to see

I got one of those yesterday on PC as well but I haven’t seen it on any of the other maps, at least for now.

I completely understand why they went for ‘armoury locks’. Without it, everybody has everything at level 55, and in a set order. Now you can unlock earlier what you fancy, but still not get everything too quickly. Gives the game some initial legs whilst we wait on season 1 starting.

MP is great - more starting maps than we’ve had in a COD game for a long time (remakes or not, they still had to be made, and they will be new to a lot of people, and largely forgotten by old duffers like myself anyway).

SP was good (but short). Those open area maps with patrolling enemies and objectives are not as bad as some would have you believe.

New zombies.

A huge new Warzone map coming too?

COD delivers (content is insane), will continue to deliver through the year, and review scores are largely undeserved.

Back to it!

I actually liked the open maps best of all. Still haven't finished it though, I've been taking my time to a ridiculous extent and I'm currently on some sort of flashback with Makarov.

Don't know where to start in zombies mode, which has always been the case for me. It's just baffling. Might have to get started on multiplayer soon, and despair at how many pricks are already running around in stupid e-sports jumpsuits.

You had a rough start! Well done gg.. I wouldn't want to be in your lobby.

Was this PlayStation only?
I think I have cross play on

Beginning was indeed rough, I got into the headspace towards the middle of the match haha

It was also a real close game, and at one point it looked like we were going to lose. Towards the end I worked hard on those objectives

I know ARs are the clear go tos, but I refuse, I'm going smg only. I was killing at some surprisingly long ranges with that smg

I must say, getting booted out during loading into Zombies and losing all your weapons, items and having an hour long insurance timer is starting to grate.

Did people not like the pick 10 system?

It's the superior system than this Vests & gear system. Its also superior to the gunsmith.

I wonder why we got away from that

Just started multiplayer and it's pretty great so far. I remember these maps from days gone by, there are some classics in here. Map voting is the shit, so far nobody has bothered voting, for some reason, so I always get my pick. I miss the old trash talking between rounds though, Xbox is silent now.

Can anyone recommend a good guides to zombies for noobs? I wouldn't mind giving that mode a try but I've generally skipped it in previous games.

I've been kicked off the server when in Zombies several times the last few days, losing all my equipment.. I have a feeling it's Steam.

Lmfao what a fool.

It's 16 old maps brought back + almost exact same game mechanics just slight movement adjustments. The zombies is the only thing adding real New value.

It doesn't even have a platinum trophy and is listed as a DLC folder under MW2.

I think those are the only two bundles with the game out there, but something tells me there are better ones coming around the holidays.. I bet there will be an xss deal with the game at some point too

The more I play zombies the more I like it has a very addicting loop to it especially solo.
I put my kids to sleep last night and then played zombies for 4 hours straight had a really good time.
As a solo when u enter tier 3 that's when shit hits the fan and I absolutely love it.
The only complain i have is they should have a reload bar or indicator in 3rd person mode.

Bad campaign reviews is for sure having an effect. But I predict a future surge when the word of mouth effect kicks in about the multiplayer. It's (and also Zombies) already more fun than some previous titles in the series IMO, and it seems more people agree every day.

MWII was supposed to cater to the “casual” player, which is why they made the movement what it was, etc. and now we are back to a potential higher skill gap, so we will see what sells more I guess.. if this flops, they might go back to slowing the game down again.

Another trash take from a "Content Creator". Praising terrible practices by saying they're better than past terrible practices is a strange way to cope.
the past practices were far less terrible than today's practices. back then the dev had to make good maps and sell them to generate extra money, not make shitty skins and battle pass junk.

I haven't seen any patch notes either and thought it was odd preloading a patch
It’s been like for all patches on the PS5 with the install time later, complete guess on my part but I imagine it’s server related, COD games are literally the only games that for me at least grind PSN to a halt, this download was only just over 2gb and it took me 3-4x longer than it should on my connection around 3 hours ago, god knows what it would be like come the install time.

Last night I saw a killcam with some sort of weird orange scope effect and a childish audio taunt. Annoying!

I would pay good money to remove this shit from my game. Let the people who bought that stuff enjoy it on their own screens, but sell me a ‘hardcore’ upgrade or something like that so I only get plain vanilla CoD.
