Yeah, it's cheesy, but what can you do? I mean, I think they at one point used to do that Metal Gear Solid cardboard box thing at every show. Maybe they still do it now actually.
Last time I went, they wanted the audience to sing the lyrics, because you know all gamers have the words to One Winged Angel memorized. That was kind of horrible. Silent room with an occasional uber-nerd belting it out in a futile attempt to get everyone else going and not seeming to understand why they weren't. And then a halfhearted murmering from the crowd when it gets to that one word in the song that most gamers know.

You should've joined a long time ago. I have friends and family give my phone number (because it's tied to my account) whenever they shop at BB so I get the points from their purchases also. I just checked my account and I've gotten $210 worth of points since I joined but that includes a bonus when they gave me a bunch of points for not adding other points in a timely matter. I can't remember exactly how much of a bonus it was but I'm pretty sure it was $25.

If you just want to go the physical route, you could get it from eStarland, where it's also 30 bucks. $5 shipping, but you won't pay any taxes, so it kind of almost balances out.

Just a heads up. Resistance 3 is on the list for Future Shop's T1 for Mortal Kombat Vita this week. If you can find a used copy of R3 at Best Buy and buy it in combination with their Reward Zone 50% off coupon, it would end up costing you $12.50. I'm probably just going to trade in my current copy of R3 but it's a good deal if you want a cheap copy of MK.

You could buy the hard drive slot thing from dealextreme and just transfer your hard drive from one system to the other. You'd need some Torx screwdrivers too though.
Those are what I'm looking for, the screwdrivers. Because I know I can just open the chunky case and put the actual HD into the new 360. I can't find the ~tamper proof~ screwdrivers anywhere other than online though and I got distracted and forgot about it for a bit, haha.

It's probably a lot cheaper to get one on ebay but what you could do is use it and then just return it if you don't think you'll ever need it again.

You can buy a specialty multi head screwdriver for $4 at peavy mart.
They don't have them! Apparently they used to, but they don't have tamper proof screwdrivers anymore.

You don't want tamper-proof, you want Torx. T6 and T10 to be specific. Tamper proof is different and much more awesome.
I would suggest getting a high quality multi-head screwdriver with a standard 1/4 opening for bits, like a Picquic (it's pronounced "pick quick"), and then getting your Torx in "1/4 bit" form, so you can just drop them into your multi-driver. That way you'll have an all-around high-quality multi-head screwdriver, which is always useful, and there's much less waste in the making of your Torx bits, which should translate into lower cost and/or higher quality.
If you look at the packaging or ask someone in the hardware store, your Picquic might even come with some Torx bits, so you might not even need to buy anything else.
Edit: My favorite multi-driver is a Megapro and it comes with T10, T15, T20, and T25, but no T6.
