It's just the Avengers movie, the Phase One boxset was delayed till next year, I believe.

Ah, not bad. Best Buy's been pretty hit/miss with their own exclusive stuff (exclusive free t-shirts with their blu-rays...lol), but that's not bad at all.
The Steelbook is still what I'm aiming for. I called my local FS, and they said they'll have "plenty", but I'm heading out early tomorrow to pick one up. FS is usually pretty barren, considering it's in the far side of a new plaza that's also pretty isolated. They usually have well-stocked exclusive stuff. Here's hoping they actually have plenty.

I heard about the WalMart $200 160GB PS3 deal SUPER late (and didn't really know about the limited nature of the Anniversary Sale in general) and so when I went in there on Sunday I had this incredibly awkward conversation with sales employee... I told him I wanted the bundle and he's like, "Cool, come with me"... and then he proceeds to take me to an empty section of shelves and says "This is where they USED to be."
I asked when they'd be getting more and he makes this face like I'm an idiot and says "It's an ANNIVERSARY sale. We're not GETTING more." And when I told him I might check another store he's like good luck with this hilarious attitude.
Anyway, I ordered one online yesterday and got shipping confirmation so if anyone still wants this "incredibly limited LOL" deal without having to deal with assholes, you know where to go!

It might be too late to grab a copy. I didn't even know it was on sale beforehand because I went to the futureshop for armored core V, luckily it's on the trade in list still.
Is there a way to use Walmart GC when making a purchase online? I have a $50 one I wanted to use for this. I went through the process and didn't see one before I got to "complete purchase".

The basic & deluxe is still available online on bb.
You can also try ordering from thesource.ca for in store pickup. Some people said they lucked out with a launch and got it on a Saturday rather than Sunday.
I went to TRU last week and it wasn't in the system yet. I had luck with them for the Wii. Anybody hear anything about when TRU might start doing in-store preorders?

Instead, I made Walmart completely irrelevant by getting a price match at Best Buy. I had to pull some strings to do it, but it was worth it to not buy ANYTHING from Walmart, EVER.

Ha, good call. I forgot that Best Buy now price matches online stores as well. Also, it didn't occur to me that they would price match what I thought was an exclusive bundle... wasn't sure how that worked.

I just preordered another Wii U (basic), I might not grab the deluxe. It will really bug me that Nintendoland does not come with the case, and also I think it can possibly be cheaper to get the game separately. Also, I'm not big on virtual content so I doubt I can use 32gb that fast. If I do then I'll just expand the memory.

So how does the trade-in for Borderlands 2 work? I can't imagine that it's only "trade in 2 titles at least worth 8 trade-in dollars to get 60 dollars in credits", that seems too good to be true oO. So what is it

At FS? It's any two games on that list.
At EB they usually only give you bonus credit - so your 8 dollar game is made to be worth 20-25 dollars. I don't think they've done a straight 2 for game deal.

I'd be wary of EB. Stores are rarely given an idea of what they're getting until it's too late and they've pre-ordered a lot more than they can sell.
Sorry, but just to make sure again: I trade in 2 games of at least 8 dollar trade value (so 16 dollars trade-value), and I get a 60 dollar new game for free?!? seriously?

I don't know if they still do gaming guarantees, but there are games that if you preorder and buy day 1, you can return it in a week for full value. So basically a free rental.

Jesus Christ, I don't even want to know what other kind of deals I've been missing out on, wow. I will definitely trade in some stuff for Halo 4. Will get Borderlands 2 on steam eventually, despite this offer being very tempting.
