Wonder if EB will have any trade in deals at launch
Even then, I just don't know if I can justify it.. I love new hardware, and I love pre ordering it asap. But this time I'll wait for comparisons between the two. I do need to get myself a new PS4, and if it's worth an extra $100 sure I'll jump in. But for now I'll wait, cause the presentation didn't do much for me personally.
If Canada didn't get screwed over with this weak dollar I would've jumped in, in a heartbeat though.

So what's the average price for PS4 right now? There seems to be different prices everywhere I go so I have no idea what I'm looking at. I haven't done much research so I'm completely clueless.
I really want a PS4 before the end of the year so I want to know how much I should be saving up.

Enhanced visuals and framerate. From what I gather you can either have 4k with current visuals/framerate or 1080p with better visuals and framerate. Maybe I'm wrong though, they need to clarify a lot of stuff imo
There was talk of it being 1080p required, so no more 900p or any of that. And from the videos they showed of For Honor and Paragon, they are adding graphics and advanced settings; so a game on base PS4 would run on medium settings, and the Pro version would be high or max. Stuff like that.
Plus no more dropping below 30fps, it'll be a 30fps lock. At least I would hope!
But they didn't show that this would be in effect on too many games, at least at launch, just that the titles were coming.

Was hoping for Pro pricing similar to the current PS4 but their currency conversion makes no sense at all.

No 4k bluray though also killed it. Will probably wait for a deal on the slim boxing day to try some exclusives.

I'm honestly surprised it's not launching at $549.99, I thought the PSVR was a sign of what this would cost.
And now I'm ultra conflicted. I'm either buying a new video card or this thing.

That is the price I figured was realistic as well. Kind of weird to have different pricing on the two. If you want the best PSVR experience with no console itself, $499 + $699 is a little steep. A new video card is a good idea though. Wouldn't mind putting that money instead towards a 1080 now that I have a gsync monitor.
That would be a wise purchase! I'm looking at the GTX 1060, so it's either I go that route or sell my PS4 and pay the same amount for a Pro.
At a time like this, being insanely indecisive will make me awful at choosing, haha.
I have a sneaking suspicion this thing won't sell well haha. Just be patient, more orders will open up.

Watched the Sony conference, still didn't convince me to buy the Pro. $499 saved!
Canada post always asks duties when they deliver so you are probably safe.

So the Pro is Neo? Seems kinda mediocre. But it's at a good price which makes upgrading worthwhile. I don't know if I'll upgrade to a Slim and the Neo or what.

Well, I pre-ordered the Pro anyways. I don't get charged till it ships and if more info releases in the next two months that changes my opinion, I'll at least have one reserved. There's really no risk here.
It's truly mind boggling how they don't have a 4K UHD drive in there.

The shitty thing is that, if we wait for the Pro, the trade-in deals will likely be shit or tailored towards the slim.
