Ugh, this shoppers deal is throwing a wrench in the gears.
I wonder if they'll have a decent amount of stock or not.
Anyone know if I was to buy it from there Friday and return and re-buy on Saturday, it would be okay? Or would they have significant issues with that?
All electronics purchased at Shoppers are final sale. No returns whatsoever, you deal with the manufacturer for any problems.
What's available for stock is based on location(s), if they receive any at all. I spoke to my local Shoppers where I bought my PS4 Pro from last night and the reps were still uncertain about inventory. I was told they didn't/wouldn't get any, to we don't know until Thursday evening when our stock arrives what will be available. Plus the new flyer doesn't go out officially until Saturday, the Switch comes out before the flyer advertisement. If there is inventory, who's to say someone won't go into the store on Friday (launch) day and ask ahead of the flyer.
Also, from what I know Shoppers which are 24 hours, don't allow the sale of electronics past a certain time due to theft issues they had on the east coast. At least, this is what was told to me by an in-store rep I spoke to. Otherwise, basically it's just hitting one up early Friday/Saturday morning and trying your luck. The best case out of this is you know Shoppers may carry more inventory down the road, if you're adamant about using or collecting optimum points. These 20x events happen quite frequently.

Edit: Sorry Risky, I read your post too quickly and didn't answer your question clearly enough. But generally speaking you won't be able to do what you're proposing due to their electronics return policy. If you're adamant perhaps speak to an in-store manager. I'll leave the rest of what I typed up there in case it's helpful to anyone else. Good luck though!
