THIS. I don't even get what some of the ELO targets are. 2000? At least in vs. friends play I've won like 19/20 games in a row before and my highest ever was still only like 1650 or something. And at that point you barely gain anything and lose a ton for ever not finishing first. Will be cool to randomly get some of the other achievements though in one of our many ongoing GAF games.

I keep crashing at the title screen after the update. Does anyone know if deleting the app and redownloading screws up your games? I think I did it once and it was ok, but can't remember.

Try to check your updates again. I had to update twice (didn't need to delete though).

I know how to play this game, but what are some strategies people take in this game? Just block what you can, and make as big of a land mass as you can without others getting in on it? I just kind of wing it most the time, but would like to get better at it.

I ended up deleting the app and redownloading worked fine. I had to confirm my account through an email confirmation, but all my games came back fine. Taking my turns now, sorry again for the two day delay!

Also, I don't have GC on my 3G so if the new guys want to add me send me a PM and I'll give you my email. Hopefully we can still add the old way, haven't tried yet.

So it looks like for the most part the games DOES count past accomplishments for GC. For the quick game ones I just had to go play another quick game for them all to register. My top ranking right now is 14/1723 for Friend Game Wins whoo. Also 16/1812 for Friend Game Max ELO.

Racking up the achievements.
The maid/servant/duke/duchess one wasn't that bad. In fact, the first time I tried it, the maid and servant came out on top with me in 3rd. So much for the AI description. Getting 6 completed cloisters in a single game is not gonna be easy, though.

It's not exactly what you're talking about, but you can see your GC Carc friends when starting new Internet games. There's 3 sections: email friends, GC friends, and recent players. A nice addition instead of just lumping all your friends into one bucket.

Also, if anyone wants to change what name shows up in GameCenter (ex. change your real name to your GC/user/GAF/whatever name), follow these steps:

Open Game Center
On the "Me" screen, click on your Account on the bottom of the page
View Account (enter password)
Scroll down to the "Game Center Identity" section (at the very bottom)
Tap "Edit Account Info" "Apple ID" -->
Here your First and Last Name appears, along with your Apple ID and PW. Simply change your First Name and Last Name to whatever you want. Note: This does NOT impact your Apple ID name at all. This is just for the Game Center name that appears on friends' lists.
Make sure to tap "Done" in the top-right (will have to do this twice), and you're finished!
