That just happened to me too!AirBrian said:OK, Carc opens, tries to go to a game, then crashes. I've rebooted. Cleared the multitask apps and rebooted. I'll even get a little popup box that appears asking to send crash data. Any suggestions?

That did the trick, thanks! It's like it got stuck trying to update that last game I responded too.Darkflight said:Done
I had that problem too when the updated came out. :lolJonnyram said:Sent.
And if that doesn't work, delete the app and redownload. I think the developers mentioned this problem when the update first came out.
you can type in /unstuck if you think the game is stuck (e.g., if it shows as you turn but you can't select a tile); then it shows that messageJonnyram said:I wonder... when Gatekeeper sent "### game has been unstuck ###" was that a system message or did you type that manually?
Naturally that happens with like two tiles left.AirBrian said:OK, it's the game with jon bones, Yaboosh, and Squirrel Killer. I tried to see the moves and now it's back to that same cycle. Before that, every other game was working fine.
Someone care to send another invite? :lol
EDIT: Nevermind! Another game advanced to my turn and now it works. That one game is borked though.
Can you view that game OK?Yaboosh said:Naturally that happens with like two tiles left.
I can view it but it looks like the beginning of the game. I am just going to leave it I guess.AirBrian said:Can you view that game OK?
OK, weird. Guess I'll leave it alone until it finishes.Yaboosh said:I can view it but it looks like the beginning of the game. I am just going to leave it I guess.

Helluva game. I'll never understand how the ELO works sometimes. We were very close in ELO (~1420) and you win by 1 point, and the swing is like 18 points. Seems steep if you ask me. Oh well, got to keep aiming high!Jonnyram said:88-87
lol
yeah ELO doesn't consider the margin of victory at all (perhaps unfortunately), but if you beat someone near your ELO i think you get about 20 points generallyAirBrian said:Helluva game. Fixed crash on iPad that could occure when pressing the tile overview
Fixed crash on opening chats with iOS 4.1 and below
Fixed layout issue with long names in resume game view on iPhone/iPod Touch

If you haven't fixed your problem, try installing the new update. Looks like if fixed some quirks.eznark said:All of my games just disappeared. I had like 12 going.
Correct. Don't worry, just spam different gaffers in AirBrian's list with invites.Am I correct that there is no way to start async match with a random person? I suppose opening that up would probably open up some sort of DoS style attack on their server, but I don't want to just spam my small list of friends with multiple invites.
You are always welcome to spam me. I can't stop playing this gameGaspode_T said:...but I don't want to just spam my small list of friends with multiple invites.
Gaspode_T said:Okay, expect to be spammed then
By the way I already regretted turning push notifications on when I set up the game, because the iPad is also used by my 5 year old who will probably press "yes" when they come up and place down tiles LOL. How the heck do I turn them off?? I looked for settings in the app but there basically aren't any, it must be configured from iTunes or something??

Mine too. I was hovering around 1450 for two weeks or so, plummetted down to ~1300, and am now back up to 1390's. ELO is tough business!AstroLad said:oh man i think i lost like 100 points off my elo today hahah.
haha, true.AstroLad said:Getting freaked out by "it's your turn" is like a rite of passage with this game.
If you quit, you lose, everyone else wins, and it affects ELO. Not advised, basically. I usually wait out stalled games.Porthos said:A couple of questions about mid-game cancellations:
- I got a message yesterday that somebody had dropped out of game and it mentioned something about a win. Does the entire game get cancelled if someone drops out or does the one person get replaced by a bot?
- Also, I have a game in my list that has stalled out for a couple of weeks. Do you guys normally wait it out? If I cancel the game, does it just count as a loss, or does it affect my ELO (or both / neither)?
Spam away! The async play welcomes that. You can send invites for 3 or 5 players too. My games were mostly 3p at first. Most players here are game at at worst, they can decline.Porthos said:Thanks everyone for the games recently. I just got in with Game Center but probably should have joined a long time ago. My games list is down to only 5 or 6 games right now so I may spam eveyone with some requests soon. Are 4 player games preferred or are 3 and 5 player games okay too?
how about you check your invites first?Gaspode_T said:Feel free to send to me too, I only have 3 games going right now although I can only promise to make moves at night in Japan time.
Heh, go easy, it's the middle of the day in Japan, so he's probably not seen his iPad for the last 16 hours.Grifter said:how about you check your invites first?
