EB called me yesterday to tell me they wouldn't have it in until Wednesday.
Picked it up at Microplay.
Canadian art book is bilingual.

Well, at least now the U.S. can feel the pain we feel every time we buy a game.
This I know well. *tears up at CE boxes with french on them*Kagari said:Atlus and NISA stuff has been bilingual for some time already.
Having performed all the pieces on the soundtrack in an actual orchestra (bought the Japanese one off ebay a long time ago), showing the remixed pieces to my orchestral colleagues was pretty fun and we all liked it, except for the older guys in the group (but they're stingy).KCHusker33 said:Got the bonus soundtrack CD (was this on all editions or just Amazon's?) and can't compliment it enough. Yeah, wish it were bigger. But it's not like it cost anything extra so eh.Rahxephon91 said:Just picked it up. Artbook is little disappointing.

Honestly, in most of the pieces, he keeps to the originals really well. There's different pacing of some sections, some of them are in different keys than the original (is very very common with arrangements), and obviously the instruments are different, but he's surprisingly true to the written music itself as far as the actual content of the pieces go.KCHusker33 said:Yeah, it's actually got me interested in finding the originals so I can hear the differences. It was just a pleasant surprise to enjoy the freebee so much.

Went to gamestop to pick this up.
"Did you preorder?"
"No."
Tries to give me a gutted box
"I'm not going to buy an open-box copy..."
"Well you know a great way to ensure that you get a sealed copy day one is to-"
I was out the door before I heard the rest of that sentence.
.
LiK said:that's what she said.
Should I have bought the gutted copy or stood around and been berated by a teenager for not preordering? I said "no thanks" as I left.FateBreaker said:You're kind of a jerk.

"no copies unless you preordered it"
womp womp
sorry gamestop, i'm just gonna go buy it at best buy or something, then
i don't get how artificially making pre-orders necessary, by only ordering enough copies of a game to satisfy the preorders, helps your store. i'm just gonna go give my money to someone else, now
InfiniteNine said:Mail came in~!
well that's my point, gamestops never order copies of games unless it's to fullfill a preorder.(maybe 2 or 3 like you said)Hobbun said:Are you sure he/she just didnt mean that they ran out and all they have left is for preorders?
Most Gamestops dont get a lot of copies in just to buy off the shelf. Maybe 2-3 at the most. Its possible your Gamestop ran out of the copies off the shelf and all that was left was the preorder copies.
The GS I use has never told me I couldnt buy a game unless I preordered it.
Only 5? Not too bad.Magnus said:Boo to mandatory 5 minute installs.
In this case, I actually went to Gamestop because I wanted the more revealing cover. But yeah, you're totally right.mattp said:well that's my point, gamestops never order copies of games unless it's to fullfill a preorder.(maybe 2 or 3 like you said)
it seems silly to me, because i can go to best buy and find 10 copies on the shelf(maybe not 10 in catherine's case since it's pretty niche, but for most games)
Magnus said:I feel bad for customers getting their online shipments delayed, but this seems to happen in like, every new release thread for every game ever. I get laughed at when I suggest that buying at retail might be superior for this reason on new release stuff where the price is pretty uniform everywhere, but these delays are ubiquitous, even with the best retailers, like amazon.
