Died riiiiight at the end of stage 2 of Babel, agh. I'm actually finding it a lot easier than stage 1, I don't think it's as easy to mess up your path.

Kinda annoyed that I got screwed two times with immovable blocks though. Too random.

I can't get anywhere on 2, I keep destroying the whole level. Not sure if you tried the next level, but obelisk has plenty of random! Was on a pretty good streak and one of the mystery boxes on a corner turned into ice and killed me, haha. I still haven't beaten altar but I'm damn close.

Heh, 7-1 and 7-2 felt like tutorial stages for you to practice
inazuma and fall dodger
. Wish I could keep going until the end but I'll have to force myself to stop now because of the time here.

i know. i'm on the final stage now, but man. it's so hard to remember. i can't count how many times i died because my reflexes just told me to push right or left and i went flying off the side
Yeah it can be a bitch when you're on the move, I had my fair share of trouble with some
trap boxes
at one stage later on where there are a few of them stacked and I would forget to hang or bail out.

Does the nightmare tower stage map part remind anyone else of the Act/Chapter stage map in Shadow of the Damned?

Just think this sort of thing is quaint.

This game has grown on me a little with the added challenge, but it's definitely not for me. I think I'll give it a 7/10 or something.

Definitely, that's what I thought of when I first saw it too.

I caught myself thinking about SotD a couple of times during the tower stage map. o.o

I am almost done with my second playthrough now. First time I got
True Freedom ending, and now going for True Catherine and whatever in between those two. Really want to catch them all.

Yeah, it reminded me of it. Kind of interesting that both games would have the same element.

And thanks for all the replies guys on the previous page!

Holy shit this game clicked with me today! I've been playing it all afternoon and I now have all Golds on every stage but the last one on Normal! I'm just missing one Gold and then I can BLAST through the story and get all my endings/alcohol/bar buddy trophies. I haven't used any guides either! I love how some stages have 'shortcuts' with paths of coins. I noticed this on Stage 7 in particular. They definitely expect you to take advantage of these coin paths to make the most out of the stage. I don't even know if some stages are possible to get Gold on unless you acquire the majority of the coins WITH your combo multiplier.

Yesterday I was kind of down on the game a bit. I really, really like it now.

Nice, got the
True Freedom
ending - perfect ending for me. The not-so-puzzle gameplay started to piss me off towards the end when it started delving into action territory with anything and everything being thrown at you, but I think the game was pretty awesome overall.

Can't wait to see what's next from the Persona team. :)

Well I finished off the last ending and got the achievement for seeing all of them. I felt the
True Katherine
ending was the most appropriate and fitting but my favorite by far was the
True Catherine
ending. That one was just amazing lol

Just beat the game on Normal and got the
True Katherine ending <3

Also, was able to save all the NPCs too :D

Great game all around! I kind hope they make another :)

So does anyone know who Martha and Lindsay are supposed to be? They give off the impression they're otherworldly like Thomas Mutton XD

"Fucking blocks! I'm going to climb the shit out of you!"

Probably my favorite moment in the entire game. Out of all the heroic things Vincent could have said at that moment, he picked something a thousand times better.

And wow, no warning at all for poor Toby, eh?

They all just let the poor kid fall into Erica's trap (literally).

Well I made it to the last level.

A fucking escort mission? Really?! She doesn't even fucking hang off of edges to get around when it's necessary for her to go up. I even died once because she was in a spot that blocked me from moving out of the way of the lightning quick enough.

That was really uncalled for.
It's incredibly disrespectful and bigoted to act like trans women are trying to "trap" anyone.

First 2 stages of night 6 down. Nice that there's more than 1 checkpoint now that pretty much every segment of the stage is nuts. Also,
bomb blocks are fuckin bullshit.

Just finished the game, I think I got the normal Katherine ending. Thought for sure I would get the true lovers but didn't.

Is there a site somewhere that says how to get all the ending?

Part of the fun of that level on hard is to
always have to think ahead to be able to make sure both you and a person behind you can get up. There were a lot of times my first time through where I screwed her over and didn't think ahead of my actions, and I thought it was neat. Also since you posted after with the Boss stuff, yeah, you have a nice chunk of time left to go with the game, given you aren't playing on easy.
I almost think it would've been more fun if there were a couple more with some crazy puzzles added like that too.

Also with how much the game crams in, I almost wish we got a sequel or some new DLC puzzles or something. I was totally engrossed by the gameplay (both puzzles and bar stuff) and it would be really cool to see what other kind of obstacles and different block types they could make if they ever did future iterations. Also, this is the first time in a long time that i've felt justified spending $60 on a video game.

Who knows, maybe we'll see a Rapunzel machine in Persona 5 :)

About that level:
Yeah, but it was really infuriating when I was near the top and suddenly she just happens to be on a red square when the lightning strikes.

Now that the game's been out a while and a bunch of us have beaten it, shall I make a Spoilers thread? Seems better than having people stuck on puzzles wading through a minefield of sensitive stuff.

Here, I even made a banner image for one. Linky

Unless I'd be treading on the OP's toes by making one, I'm totes down to set one up/do images/writing for a Spoilers thread when I wake up.

Maybe I'll come to regret it, but I can't help reading all the bitching about the difficulty and becoming more excited about actually playing this game.

...Hopefully it'll show up tomorrow, hopefully.

You should do it. Those black bars are too tempting for me and I don't want to spoil myself.

Hopefully I still have a ways to go. I'm on day 5, I'm loving the addition to the puzzles*:
ice. It makes things really intense, loving it.
I got a little irritated during chapter 3 but this game has won me over again.

*that's hardly a spoiler but just playing it safe

finished day 6...

the somewhat twitchy controls (as in, once i accidentally find myself hanging off the back end of blocks, i can have a helluva hard time getting back up), combined with my personal inability to fully wrap my head around the mechanics/techniques, has absolutely combined to make the recurring nightmares truly nightmarish (& this's on easy :) ). but, yeah, despite all this, it's pretty damn rewarding when things do click, & i'm really loving the ride. if you're gonna deal with adult themes in a video game, this, imo, is the only credible way to go - always with a light touch. it's why the more serious parts of p3 & p4 resonated with me on levels that most hard-edged 'mature' titles never achieve, & why the more subtly serious aspects of catherine do, too...

&, between the graphics, the music, & all the multiple elements, yes, there's likely more good ol' fashioned 'imagination' on display here than in anything else i have played or will play this year (which, for me, still counts :) )...

In this case, I can't see how you can say that. I'm sure that
the vast majority of transsexuals have the decency to explain their situation before engaging in any sexual acts if there's even the slightest hint that their partner is oblivious, but Erica sure didn't. She was even laughing at him in the true K ending when he confronted her after one of the other guys eventually told him.

I'm loving this game (playing on Easy). When you beat a section, it feels very rewarding.

I never replay through games, but I'm going to with Catherine. I love how the puzzles completely change on the difficulty.

Were the only gamer pics available in that OXM issue? I'd buy a set or a theme and I rarely do that, love the art. I have a wallpaper thrown up on the triple but I'd like something more substantial.

Persona team has some of the best character designs and menu's coming out of Japan I swear.

Cleared stage 2 of Babel, woo. Yeah, I feel that stage is more about consistency and endurance, unlike the first stage where I feel like you can easily screw yourself if you get an unlucky drop. Gonna try stage 3 later tonight or tomorrow.

Hmm, about to do 6-4...about the waiting area..
So Orlando and Johnny are here now...and the cop is the first one to recognize me for actually being someone at the bar. Everyone else just says I sound familiar.

And yea...
This game makes me hate Vincent so much.

According to the guide I got the
Katherine Bad
ending. For now I feel like trying to get gold in some stages through cellphone replay before going for the other endings.

Not sure if I fully understood how the karma meter works because from the guide this ending is only possible to get if you're
"Heavily Chaos" but through all the Vincent monologues in cutscenes it was the blue angel that popped for me, never the red one. I didn't aim for any particular result with my answers and the meter was always kind of near the middle. Since I got this end apparently I was "chaos" so I don't get why he kept having "order" thoughts until the last time those happen.

I got all Golds on Normal today! Normal difficulty is definitely no problem for me right now. I'm going to check out Hard after I get the rest of the endings and other drinking/NPC trophies. Babel is really intimidating though. I'd let to get my Platinum, but I feel like that mode is going to be so ridiculous to finish. I've tried Altar a bunch of times and I can only manage a record of about 115 steps.

I finished my Normal playthrough earlier, ended up getting the ending
where Kat and Vincent are planning their wedding in Vincent's apartment
. Wonderful game, definitely going to go back on Easy to do some other endings and save more of the people from the bar.

While replaying the game I noticed
on Day 7, Eric(a?) talks about female pro-wrestling, but then Vincent mentions that she (he?) can't even join in the first place.

Just finished it for the first time. I'm hesitant about heading over to the spoiler thread though as that might ruin the other endings for me.

How do I tell which ending I got? If I have to guess, I would say I got the neutral one. Katherine showed up at the bar, Vincent told her about the whole illusion thing, but she still left anyway. I'm debating which ending to go for this time though. If I go for the best ending, I may just be setting myself up for disappointment when I do the "Freedom" endings. On second though I think I'll do the Freedom endings first.q

Got through the first two levels of night 6. Boy.... I was damn near in cruise control up until this night, but so far, night 6 has been handing me my ass! lol

<3 this game still!
