So the NCAA is finally being forced to release documents because of the McNair lawsuit (USC).

http://www.latimes.com/sports/sport...mcnair-documents-released-20150324-story.html

Tons of proof that the NCAA was trying to stick it to USC.

:jnc How did things go at Miami after all?

Yes, that's right. The NCAA compared the Reggie Bush situation to THE OKLAHOMA CITY BOMBING.

Uphoff was my favorite professor in law school, i did quite the double take when I saw this article earlier. Didn't even have to google to see if it was the same guy as his claim to fame was representing Nichols, which you don't quite get from the other versions of this story. Otherwise it seems quite the non sequitur.

So he was kind of pulling a Giuliani, just referencing his big case? :lol
The dude had a serious hate boner for USC I guess:

Uphoff also sent an email to Shepard Cooper, the director of the infractions committee, in which he said he had not been able to sleep for three nights because he feared the committee would be too lenient on USC in regards to the school's football violations.

Bobby Petrino threw Shaq Wiggins out of practice yesterday. Looks like he caused problems at UGA, still causing them at Louisville.

Shaq Wiggins left UGA less than a year ago seeking a program that would “embrace my personality.”

He signed with Louisville and sat out last year after the transfer.

Bobby Petrino didn’t want anything to do with Wiggins’ personality at practice on Wednesday.

1 1/2 hours into #UofL's spring practice today, Bobby Petrino ordered Georgia transfer Shaq Wiggins to the locker room. Unhappy.

DL looking pretty good in our spring game. I know you can't really tell much from what is really just an intrasquad scrimmage but some of our DT that had weight/conditioning problems in 2014 are clearly leaner and quicker and the DT that switched over from OL late last season hasn't seemed as raw as you might expect.

Alabama DL Jonathan Taylor arrested for criminal mischief and domestic violence per Tuscaloosa Sheriff's website. A "second chance" signee.

dancing in the street time. Glad he's gone, should have been faster (or even no reason to bring him in)

Golden Domers are chickenshit!!
I'd like to thank Mr. Taylor for relieving me if the moral conundrum of whether or not I should cheer on his efforts next year.

As I said before when he committed to us, I believe in second chances, but I don't think an individual guilty of domestic violence should receive his second chance from the University of Alabama.

Clearly Nick Saban has lost control of his players.

Time between him being admitted and this first arrest at Bama was 80 days.

By the way, I do believe in second chances, but not at a power 5 school for an offense like this. Clearly Mr Taylor has issues and needs to seek help.

Clemson GAF:

Went to the Kevin Hart show at Littlejohn Coliseum yesterday, and swapped seats with a lineman and is GF, as he had just gone through ACL surgery and needed to be able to stretch his right leg (we had a right end seat... he had a left end on the other side of the row). The section attendant had asked the couple behind us but they were being pricks, so we spoke up. Any idea who the lineman might be? He was very personable and appreciative.

Oh, and "Adios!" to Taylor. Hoping the open scholarship goes to our grey-shirt.

Uh, hello? Penn State?
Ah well yeah. True.

UGA's Lorenzo Carter is looking like a monster going into his sophomore season. Up from 220 to 245, 7 percent body fat to 12. Hoping to be at 250 by time season starts. They're saying he hasn't lost any speed.

I'm ashamed that I'm having to pick up the slack from our FSU brothers in posting spring practice porn.

He has a higher body fat % now? Shouldn't he want to increase his weight with muscle and not fat?

Offensive or defensive lineman? That being said, I don't know of any linemen going through acl recovery. Can you describe him at all?

Not necessarily. From what he and the strength staff said, most NFL outside linebackers play at around 12% body fat. 12% body fat at 245 is much stronger than 7% at 220. Really, I don't think there's much point being that lean at that position. The most important thing for him at his position is strength, speed, and stamina. Body fat percentage isn't too important, but 12% at that weight in his second year is great.

Whenever you put on muscle, you're going to add fat as well. You can cut to reduce your fat, but you're going to lose some muscle in the process. Most likely, NFL players have been through many different bulks and cuts to get where they are. Plus a lot of PED's of course.

12% is still really low body fat percentage and still ripped.

No really, Louisville has to be #1 unlikable because Penn State as a program got rid of the bad guys we know of. Louisville still has shit personalities in charge. Same reason after Petrino left Arkansas they became less of a unlikable program to me....well until they hired fatty Bielema. Now if we want to rank programs on shit fans, I would put Penn State up there near the top because they are known to urinate on opponents band members and that's disgusting.

Even the fans from the state up north are more polite than Penn State fans.

Doing a quick search, I think it might have been Kellen Jones (LB).

I was going to say that he wasn't tall for a lineman (I'm 6'1" and we were eye level), though he was built like one. Very laid back and well spoken. Looks like he is retiring from football and transferring for grad school.

Well I guess that's that.

Bring out the JoePa statue boys, we're back in business!

Has the current coach called for the statue to be brought back? AFAIK it has only been the fans and like I said b4, if we are ranking the program on fans then yes Penn State is up there near or on top as #1 shittiest. But if we are ranking it on coaches then Louisville is the most disgusting program currently operating. But then again, would not surprise me if people treated the Penn State coach or the Texas coach like they treat Obama, you know, for various unrelated issues that have nothing to to with competency.

EDIT: Hey, if the current coach has called for JoPa statue to be brought back, then I am inclined to agree with you. My personal opinion is no coach of a sports team should be enshrined in statue form period but that ship has sailed long long ago. Personally I find hero worship to be disgusting and usually misinformed. You can't put people on pedestals because they will always let you down. Especially people still living because all hero worship does is create hubris.

Who the hell cares enough about Louisville to find them unlikeable?

Better to dislike programs for tangible reasons rather than reasons like "that program is so successful, I am going to hate it" aka the way people look at Ohio State and Alabama and other successful schools. The people who hate those schools are usually doing so for jealously reasons rather than reasons like "that schools coach protected pedophiles" "that schools coach is an immoral dirtbag etc" And since JoePa is dead and Sandusky is in jail. That leaves Louisville as the school with the next most immoral coach. That's just my opinion on Petrino.

I mean, I can't judge programs on fans because otherwise am I going to have to basically lump in all of Alabama with a tree poisoner, etc and that's just plain dumb. Every school has them. The only way you can really rate a program on how unlikable they are is on how dirty the current coach is. The coach of Louisville has a history of being pretty scummy.

Ah, makes sense. He actually followed Venebles here from Oklahoma, but after sitting out a year, he still wasn't able to crack the starting rotation. But he's a good kid and I wish him the best.

Well, I mean, like 80% of Penn State fans are certifiably awful and defend their pedo-enabling dead coach until they're blue and white in the face, but whatev.

Yeah, but all of those guys responsible are fired and long-gone. The people there now are picking up the pieces.

Have to seperate the fans from the program.

But they hired a coach that had to deal with the Vanderbilt rape scandal and a president that came from FSU and the Tallahassee Police scandal.

To be fair to PSU, there's alot more good PSU fans, but they're drowned out by the insane ones. The good ones are also just defeated in general after that scandal, I know I didn't want to post a bit after the Rice scandal, and while that was bad it paled to pedogate.

James Franklin didn't tamper with the case in any way, did he? From what I remember he kicked those guys off the team a few days after police contact.

Depends upon if you believe he lied to his players or lied later when he realized he could be in some serious shit: http://www.si.com/college-football/2014/10/08/james-franklin-vanderbilt-rape-case-penn-state-video

He is also alleged to have encouraged the player who showed him the video (an incident which he later denied as I stated above) to delete the video. http://archive.tennessean.com/artic...069/James-Franklin-calls-allegation-baseless-
The story about the Vanderbilt rape case that led to the dismissal of four football players and the suspension of a fifth, alleged that Franklin “encouraged a player to delete a video of the incident after the player showed it to Franklin,” according to “a source close to one of the defendants.

Sorry on the late congrats mre, but thats awesome.

I stopped after two, did not care if one was a boy (both girls). If I'm that insistent on someone carrying on the family name, I'll tell them they have to hyphenate when they get married.

Below is the complete list of 18 teams that have earned a spot in the Final Four and qualified for a major bowl berth since the 1998-1999 season:

Ohio State, 14 (three basketball, 11 football)

Oklahoma, 10 (one, nine)
Michigan State, nine (seven, two)
Wisconsin, eight (three, five)

I didn't really care either, though I am the last male of my name, other than my dad, in the United States.

We totally planned this kid. Totally.

My apologies.

Also FYI, if you're looking for Pristine he's in another thread arguing against letting a kid with Down Syndrome wear a letter jacket.

Not surprised. "Mre" is quite an unusual name.
