Is good public transit an unfair recruiting advantage? Discuss.
Clemson starting left tackle Isaiah Battle will enter the NFL supplemental draft, coach Dabo Swinney announced Thursday.
"I have some family matters to address, with a child due this summer, and I feel it is in my best interest to enter the NFL supplemental draft," Battle said.
Battle has been in trouble in the past at Clemson, serving a suspension in 2013 after punching a player, and another last season for disciplinary reasons. According to The Clemson Insider, Battle was pulled over for speeding in early June and caught with marijuana. Police cited him for both, but did not charge or arrest him.
I can't comprehend this. I'm used to players getting arrested for jaywalking or not wearing a scooter helmet, but for a kid to be pulled over for speeding and caught with marijuana and not get charged or arrested... That's crazy.
Good luck to him. He'll be lucky if he's picked up as a free agent.

I hear ya, man. Are you going to specialize in any particular branch of medicine?Residency + 6 month old and slow offseason for Vols.
But Saint Dabo is a good Christian man and only dealing with and instilling good Christian values! LoL

@Mark_Schlabach: Filed to #ESPN: #FSU suspended freshman QB Deandre Johnson indefinitely for violation of team rule. He is accused of punching a woman at bar
It's that time of year:
ACCACCACC
ACC teams with the coordinated effort to bury the news beneath the NBA draft.
What did they do? I know they won 2 out of 3 major sports championships this year (basketball/baseball)
It's that time of year:
I'm referencing the recent posts about Clemson dudes, Miami, and now Florida State.
It's ACC "empty the police blotter" media dump day.
Poor guy won't graduate a can.

Apparently Chazz Surratt is decommitting from Duke and is now going to UNC
lolololololol
Dumber than dumb move with UNC on the verge of mega sanctions.

So I guess the Tallahassee PD released some details regarding a FSU player allegedly hitting a lady in the face.
The department redacted all information including the adult player's name, but didn't redact the alleged victim's name and contact info. They only included the approximate location and time of the incident other than the alleged victim's info.

Wow... that's some commitment by the TPD to doing almost everything absolutely the wrong way.Wow, leaked the victim's name so that she can be pressured to not pursue charges, but kept the player's name out of it. Brilliant.
Seriously, at what point does a higher power (Justice Department) step in to cause some heads to roll in the Tallahassee PD?

Keep up the good work, Criminoles.
I'm sure it's more common than we'd like but this is still a pretty gross move by Michigan. Let the guy finish out his career.
tOSU did that to a player this year, not sure if he was cleared to play elsewhere.I'm sure it's more common than we'd like but this is still a pretty gross move by Michigan. Let the guy finish out his career ffs.
His response to the Tech football account read: Yea thats a lie get your facts right. Ive chosen to leave and play my fifth year elsewhere.

However, Pipkins said he still felt unwelcome. After being pulled from a workout at the team facility -- he was told it was to avoid injury -- Pipkins said he was later told he could work out, but not with teammates.
"Schmidt told me, 'Call it quits. Hang it up.' He said, 'You've had a good run,'" Pipkins said of the Wolverines' head athletic trainer.
After showing up to work at a camp for children with his teammates and coaches, Pipkins said he was confronted by Minick and told that he needed to meet with Harbaugh.
"'I need you to sign this,'" Pipkins said Harbaugh told the lineman regarding the medical form. "'It's not fair to your teammates. Let's get it done.'"
Harrell got kicked off of GT's team last night. Or maybe he didn't, who knows?
What's going on with ACC schools this week?
Ha, well I did see that Laremy Tunsil of Ole Miss was arrested for domestic violence in getting in the middle of a fight between his mom and stepdad. He punched him. On the face of it, I don't have a problem with that.We had to pick up the slack since the SEC has been unusually quiet this summer.

Yep. Weird that the step-dad didn't get arrested.Ha, well I did see that Laremy Tunsil of Ole Miss was arrested for domestic violence in getting in the middle of a fight between his mom and stepdad. He punched him. On the face of it, I don't have a problem with that.
I'm gonna guess maybe they sided with the stepdad because I'm guessing Tunsil had 100 pounds and six inches of height on him. No idea, but I don't have a problem with a kid defending his mom. Unless there's more to the story I don't know about.Yep. Weird that the step-dad didn't get arrested.

I don't care if he does have height and weight on the stepdad. The stepdad likely has those on his mom.
I also do not have an issue with him defending his mom on the face of it.
Freeze claims that Laremy Tunsil and his mother have pressed charges against Miller, although Lafayette County Justice Court officials could not confirm as of Monday afternoon.
"Laremy realizes he could have handled it differently," Freeze said in a statement on Saturday. "I am proud of him for standing up for his mother and protecting his family."
Miller, who has not yet been arrested, told The Clarion-Ledger that he denies the report and alleges the incident occurred after an argument with Tunsil on Thursday afternoon. Miller claims he never pushed Tunsil's mother and that Tunsil instigated the fight.
Miller alleges Tunsil struck him six to seven times.
Miller also asked for and received a restraining order against Tunsil, which was issued by Lafayette County judge Mickey Avent on Friday. The order includes Miller's two sons, Derek and Darius, as other persons to be protected.
According to a report from ESPN, Tunsil was at his mother's home when the incident occurred. Miller shoved Tunsil's mother and in response Tunsil punched his stepfather, a source told Brett McMurphy.
If the step dad pushed Tunsil's mom while her 6'5", 300+ lb son was there, then the step dad is not only a woman abusing piece of shit, but an idiot.I guess there's been a little more development in the story, though I still don't see anything wrong with what Tunsil did.
