Charlie Kirk assassinated at Utah campus event

This is the most terrifying part of the whole event TBH

Our children have been subject to a brainwashing apparatus for years. Who knows how many more Tylers there are in this country right now

Not only that, it's confirmed Russian and Chinese bots are pushing these hateful messages as well, reinforcing the echo chambers

As a UO alum I couldn't be prouder of Dan Lanning after this. I don't think he could have responded better. Feel incredibly fortunate to have this kind of leadership at the front of our football team.

Which reports say that?
I thought the father turned him in?

This is from Daily Mail

A 22-year-old wannabe professional gamer who lived with Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin gave cops incriminating text messages leading to his arrest.

NY Post said something similar in their article (don't have the link on me)

Could be that the he came in to turn himself in with the father after the roommate sent the feds the messages.

THE BRAINWASHING!!!!

OH NO.. THEY ARE EVERYWHERE!!!

RUN!!!!!!
I think as a teacher you should be a professional. Thats not a super high bar. But its important to at least consider what is said in class and what is said out of class on personal accounts. They may not even teach subjects that have any relation to politics on any level. Its just a huge generalization at this point from Mr. Free Speech Absolutist (and #1 Path of Exile Player) Elon Musk.

I dont want to say anything that could even slightly be perceived as sympathy with this killer. Zero sympathy. He is clearly a cold blooded murderer. But, assuming he is at a minimum gay, that was likely before college. I thought I heard he went for like 1 semester. And Utah isn't some liberal stronghold as far as I know. I will wait for more info.

Lance Twiggs is the trans room-mate, not the killer.

Not sure why twitter has decided to hound that person specifically, cause multiple sources have said that trans person is the one who sent the incriminating messages to the cops, clearly Twiggs is not an accomplice in this case.

Ahh, guess I mixed them up. Gotcha.

I recommend to watch this, for the ones who are scratching their heads over how the US (and the whole west with it) has become a mess.

I wonder what injecting all that shit into your system does to your brain.

Seems that gryoper theory may be treading water now.

The left wanted the groyper theory to be correct so badly, even though the premise has to start with all evidence pointing left leaning at that time had to be assumed to be false flags. Starting a belief with assuming evidence is fake just seems weird to me.

I hate to defend these deplorable people, but I think they would just look at this and say Well, it's better than actually being the ones committing the violence? People just need to chill

Empathy and Tolerance have been weaponized to flood the west with immigrants with incompatible values.
You think it's the immigrants who are debating the "incompatible values" that got this guy killed? Things like pro-abortion and LGBT? Come the fuck on, the US is already fighting with itself regarding its "values", this isn't about immigrants.

Fired column goes hard af

"A 22-year-old wannabe professional gamer who lived with Charlie Kirk's alleged assassin gave cops incriminating text messages leading to his arrest."
The order of events seems unclear from the reporting. My assumption is that after the shooter turned himself in, the cops demanded the roommate give access to his messages and he cooperated with that demand, and this gave them enough to know this was the right guy.

If the roommate was the one who came forward and instigated the identifying of the shooter in the first place, it's unclear how we would arrive at the situation with the dad and the pastor and the shooter turning himself in.

Ah, so we're shifting the goalposts

I wonder if he brushed his teeth and liked ketchup on his hamburger
A lot of these kids are growing up in an environment that equates gun with power. People are correct that it's not guns that kill people, but gun culture and the unhealthy obsession we have with them in the US IMO. Countries like Switzerland and Finland own a lot of guns, but don't see anywhere near the amount of gun violence because their gun culture is totally different. My 2 cents

Any attempts to make gun control part of this assassination are futile because the shooter used a bolt-action hunting rifle. Even the most ardent gun control-supporting Democrat politicians generally don't push to ban those. Even many European countries allow the purchase and ownership of them.

They are also pretty much white homogeneous countries.

I agree with that. I dont think rifles should be banned or anything. But its also a factor in his personality, skillset and views. Seems like it was a rather large part of his family life.

Hopefully the boyfriend/girlfriend cooperates and fbi raids these cults.
Sounds like the feds are getting extreme cooperation (reports words).

There's some interesting declined comment in the article and a statement about the feds will be investigating everyone associated with the guy.

The rural areas own more than 2x the guns as cities but have lower violent crime and murder rates.

It's about changing our culture and attitude towards guns. A teenage boys hobby should not be military grade weapons designed to kill the most amount of people possible. It's just not healthy IMO.

What does that have to do with Tyler Robinson using a bolt-action rifle to shoot Charlie Kirk in the neck?

He gave a good response but there's a phrase in there that bugs me a little.

"I didn't agree with everything Charlie Kirk said but..."

Shouldn't that be the assumption? Has anyone met anyone in their life where they agreed with them on 100%? The longer you get to know anyone the more likely that you're going to find differences in belief.

Well considering the general media considers pretty much anyone who isn't a progressist/leftist a far right activist...
It is not just that even, they are relying on guilty verdicts and I've pretty long memory for clear political attacks that never get charged on the Left side, or even if they are, the political component is ignored.

One thing I still don't understand. We all know internet is forever. Why some of the people celebrating Charlie's passing are surprised they lose their jobs? It's extremely wrong to celebrate it to begin with

There is nothing worse than an Utah Ex Mormon. They become the most "hate my mommy daddy" type and join the Reddit cult harder than they ever went to church. They become atheist intellects reading a couple forum posts and instantly feel to be moral arbiters of their family. It's hilarious and they justify any and all violence against what they used to be.
