Oh yeah. Normies were tolerant or indifferent about this (especially in entertainment), but there was definite pushback or rejection when it came to pushing trans stuff onto children. Several Pixar, MCU, and Disney movies flopped hard in the last two years or so, as did the failed rebrands. And what they promised to these companies (more profit and competitiveness) has categorically failed

Well… getting indoctrinated really depends on how strong someone's worldview is, how much they crave belonging to groups, how easy they are to manipulate, and whether they truly lack critical thinking. I think social and humanities careers are especially infested with this shit....but I dunno.

Took long enough. I expected it to happen much sooner. What blew my mind is how little self awareness they seemed to have. The thread made the community look like a bunch of psychopaths, which I guess had to happen at some point because a significant portion of them probably are.

I can't deny I'm not enjoying seeing a lot of these people getting fired.
After those bullshit situations where a mob went looking for naughty comments someone wrote 10 years ago on twitter and then tried to destroy entire lives because of it, this just feels like righteous payback.
Karma doesn't spare anyone.

At the same time a lot of people around the internet from all sides including here seem to have drunk a bit too much of their own cool-aid.

These past few days have been both quite funny and sad to witness.

It's fine to chalk it up to "another gun death" or whatever you want to label it as, but to go out of your way to let everyone know you don't care about him, specifically, or celebrate it... You are putting words in my mouth. I never said anything about "incompatible values" getting Charlie Kirk killed, I said empathy is being weaponized by liberal politicians to flood the west with "refugees" and "immigrants" from regions of the world that do not hold the same values we do.
 
There is no such thing as "Right Wing Cancel Culture".... Conservatives are merely upholding the rules/values liberals/democrats established. It was an inevitable consequence that short sighted leftists did not consider and now that the shoe is on the other foot suddenly they believe they are entitled to freedom of speech without repercussions. People should see the massive key difference between an isolated opinion or joke from an individual and an "opinion" endorsed, encouraged, and held by a very large group within the political spectrum, including those in positions of power (the ones who are supposedly the adults in the room).

Lets pretend that this is true for a minute. Who in the world thinks that refugees will have left leaning beliefs? There are next to no countries outside of Europe that are more left than the US. Most countries in the world will be more conservative. So what kind of strategy would it be to bring in conservative migrants to bolster the left?

Its always gone both ways. One of the earliest forms of cancel culture was getting Kotaku's advertisers cut. It wasn't right wing exclusively at that point. It was anyone anti PC.

You can choose to participate in it but you've fully given up all legitimacy to criticize it, and will be guilty of everything that was criticized before. There is a difference between justice and just eye for an eye revenge. Eye for an eye can seem like justice but as the saying goes it leaves the world blind because it just keeps going. Modern justice is about corrective action while not succumbing to revenge and committing the same things being punished.

And again this goes past cancel culture. Its calling them murderers and listing their public info. Its pretty much a hit list.

The only reason I use Twitter is to see gaming news but it's become a cesspool of politics and AI Generated Crap. The best days of the internet were the 2000-2010's, not it's pretty fully corpo and government controlled, and there's no privacy whatsoever.

The point isn't to bring in conservative or liberal migrants, the point is to bring in migrants that are heavily reliant on government subsidies so that they can keep leftists in power forever.

The Left main base of thinking is that these people have no agency and are dumb, and they will educate them and show them the light. I had a friend who once told me Blacks can't get IDs because they don't know how, yes that happened.

So yeah, they think they'll bring them into the country and because they brought them in, they will repay them by voting for them.

You see how the Left ties itself with Islamists, even though Islam is basically 180 from everything liberals are supposed to believe. I mean, Queers for Palestine is a great example of cognitive dissonance.

To be fair, I think "let's fire this person for celebrating the death of someone because they said mean things" and "let's fire someone because they don't support the same things I do" are two very different levels.

It was an external board position, of which there are thousands. Since I keep seeing these lies spread, here are the facts:

- He had previously registered as a Republican.
- Friends identified him as a Trump supporter.
- He identified himself as an anti-abortion evangelical Christian.
- His hit list was exclusively Democrats.

Sure, it is interesting that the left seems to get "set off" by different things than the right. How big would the left's creepy tracking database be if they cared to track people who mocked Paul Pelosi, Biden's cancer diagnosis, or Hortman's death (that list would include a sitting US senator, by the way)?

I honestly hope that no one remembers in 2026 because we all joined hands and became peaceful and loved each other again

But since 2026 is the midterm elections, I have a feeling people will definitely remember and there's going to be lot of finger pointing about whose fault it is the next few years. I wish I was wrong but this is the kind of thing politicians love to exploit as it riles the people up on every side
