Is Christopher Nolan generally considered a good director?
The long shot of the beach at Dunkirk in Atonement will be far better than this movie.
Are they insane? Releasing a WWII film in a prime summer spot?
Well, apparently Tom Hardy is in it.
fuck me, this thread.
sad state of affairs. don't know about one of the most significant events in world war two, but can list every store that is quick to stock limited edition amiibos within a ten mile radius.

Of that list Interstellar is my least fav but still decent and I really enjoyed those movies he made.Memento
Insomnia
Batman Beings
The Prestige
The Dark Knight
Inception
The Dark Knight Rises
Interstellar
Nolan is good stuff.
Don't know how I feel about this
Not gonna lie first thought I got from this was "White people the movie: War time"
Maybe Nolan can surprise me with a diverse cast somehow even though it is set in 1940s Europe...
It definitely has a strange release date.

Just from the small amount of info here, my first reaction: This will be Nolan's first major flop.
there's going to be like 2 french people in the entirety of the cast huh
one of which will be Marion Cotillard, the other probably Vincent Cassel
I'm American. My knowledge of World War II begins and ends with us puttin' the team on our back and carrying the Allies to victory.

If Star Wars EP8 keeps its May 26th release date, it'll be coming out right at the end of its box office run.
There's a possibility that this might not be a "normal" WW2 movie, and some other concept might be involved.

Zimmer can at least ape his Thin Red Line score for this.
Didn't hurt this film.
Amazing.
