More spoilers. This tidbit from Maureen Ryan.

Bill asks: With the Chuck/Sarah wedding likely this season, any word of if we will get to meet Sarah's mom or will her family only consist of Gary Cole? I'd love to see Cheryl Ladd cast as Sarah's mom. [Is] the sister she mentioned in 'Chuck Versus The Wookiee' real or just a cover story? Will we find out about her?

Mo says: I did speak to 'Chuck' executive producer Chris Fedak recently, and though he did talk a bit about Sarah's mom in the interview, it didn't sound like introducing her was going to be a priority for the current season. Of course Fedak could have been faking me out, but at this point I'm going to take him at his word. I did want to ask him about potential Sarah siblings, but the interview was brief and we didn't get around to that subject.

Personally, I think it'd be fun to find out more about Sarah's mom and possible siblings next season, if there is another season. There'd be more time to explore her backstory in depth at that point, and I think your idea of casting Cheryl Ladd sounds just about perfect.

- Yvonne Strahovski Interview: Romance is in the air on 'Chuck' *minor spoilers*

I've never heard of this publication, but the interview looks legit.

Brief talk regarding renewal:
Returning to "Chuck," it appears likely - though it's not a slam dunk - that the show will be granted a fifth season. The ratings are solid, if not spectacular, and the show certainly represents a rare bright spot for NBC.

"I'm probably more confident than ever," Strahovski said. "I have to say, in all honesty, I'd be surprised if we didn't get a fifth season, only because we've been steadily strong this season, strong for the network, and we have such a great fan base.

"But, you know, anything goes," Strahovski concluded with a laugh. "We're probably going to be on the bubble just for tradition's sake. Why not?"

THE WORDS! They'll drift away without the _!
If they put it in an ad, it probably isn't that big of a spoiler.
Probably gets revealed before the openning credits.

At least I hope that's the case.

I don't doubt that its introduced fast but,
they have been building up that storyline for two episodes now. I think that's about 1/3 of the plot for the second season.

Chuck Day!

Chuck‘s awesome. (<
[Breaking news: Your question made me laugh out loud. Now, back to your regularly scheduled programming…] Monday’s Chuck is going to answer many of the questions you have about the GRETA, and in many ways acts as a launching pad for the next couples of episodes. It also marks the return of Isaiah Mustafa and Stacy Keebler, who find themselves at odds with Chuck and Sarah. “We definitely wanted to see some of the GRETA characters we established earlier in the season and see what happened to them next and explain what the government was up to and why there were GRETAs inside the Buy More,” says co-creator Chris Fedak. “Once we got the order for more episodes, after the initial 13, we were like ‘Oh, we gotta get in there and explain what the GRETA project was.’ And so it was kinda neat to take those characters, who we’d only had a little big of time with in episode 2 and episode 3 [of the season], and say, ‘Well, let’s explore them; let’s meet them a little bit better.’”

I need me some Chuck scoop! — Elise
There’s trouble in the spy world — and not in the normal way where they can simply shoot something and solve their problem. It’s more of an internal issue. “Casey is very much tied into what’s happening with the GRETA project at this moment. He might very well be in charge of this project. So there’s tension within the team. There’s a rift growing,” Fedak explains. “The question, and essentially where the A-Team title comes from — is: Who is the A Team? Is it Chuck and Sarah or is it Casey and his new team? That’s definitely at the heart of this episode.”

Yay! Chuck is back. Haven't had much time to spend in this thread lately, but still catching Chuck each week. The last couple of episodes have been very average for me. Hope it picks up as the end of the season comes into sight.

You know what? If these "promotions" help keep Chuck on the air, I'm fine with them.

Oh, they could spend 5 minutes per episode watching a real Sienna ad on the Buy More TVs if it keeps Chuck on the air.

Decent episode, nothing more. The Gretas sucked and that storyline wasn't interesting. Chuck and Sarah were actually the highlight of the episode for once.

- Morgan slamming the door on Chuck was great
- "let me settle this....you're all idiots" :lol
- haha, Beckman sent them to get a dog
- predictable twist is predictable
- Lester: "Cia? What the hell kinda name is Cia?"
- either Tim Jones needs to write new score, or Chuck has to quit using score - I'm sick of hearing the same three tracks every episode
- Sarah: "Chuck, are you about to disarm a nuclear bomb with fruit juice?" :lol
- the look on Sarah's face when Chuck was getting ready to play FF2 = priceless
- any chance that Casey is Intersected?

Pretty good ep!

- Nothing against Old Spice & Kiebler, but I wouldn't have minded Summer Glau again (not like she can out-curse the show's cancellation potential)
- Chuck hit the jackpot being on the B-team; he still had a job and lots of time to spend with his loved ones without being in mortal danger all the time, why would he give that up? Oh right, TV
- nice movie references in this one, Jurassic Park (Morgan's "clever girl") and Hurt Locker
- I must now buy a Toyota Sienna, maybe 2

Solid episode. I like where things are headed now, and it's always good when Chuck actually uses his smarts to solve a problem rather than leaning on the Intersect. Good stuff from the Colonel this week, and there were a few amusing jokes, too. Ellie is hot when they let her turn on the charm. Still, kind of a waste of the GRETAs. What's up with Ellie's computer?

EDIT: One more spoiler from E!Online and I guess that makes 4.22 "Chuck versus Agent X".

I really liked this one.

- Chuck using his nerd knowledge rather Kung Fu or whatever physical skills the intersect gives him. Not on the level of a porn virus or reaching the Missile Command kill screen, but still awesome.
- Buy More nicely integrated into the plot.
- Good to see Sarah Lancaster have a larger part in this episode especially with the comedy bit. Always felt she was a bit underused.
- Phil Klemmer is back on writing staff and wrote tonight's episode.

More spoilers from EW.com:
What’s Morgan going to be up to on Chuck? — Laurie
Well, if you watched last night’s episode (and you really should have), you saw that Morgan stepped up to protect John Casey’s secret second assignment with the GRETAs (who are no more)! According to co-creator Chris Fedak, that somewhat speaks to the relationship the writers are building between the two. “We have some really funny stuff coming up in regard to the odd couple that is Morgan Grimes and Col. John Casey. It’s a peculiar decision to decide to room with your girlfriend’s dad. But they’re also very good friends and Morgan needed a place to crash,” he dishes. “Going forward, we really like the idea of Morgan as Chuck season 1, the guy who’s experiencing the spy world anew, fresh. We have some really interesting ideas about where we’re going with him in this season and how it all folds back to John Casey and his girlfriend Alex.” And if things get out of hand, it’s good to know that Sarah always has her tranq gun.

So Chuck brought the Old Spice guy [Isaiah Mustafa] and Stacy Keibler back to the show last night, any chance we’re going to get to see Summer Glau come back? – Rick
It could be a while. Not that Fedak doesn’t want to see her return, but it’s a creative pickle. “I would love to bring Summer Glau back,” Fedak says. “She, of course, left on bad terms at the end of her episode. She had kind of run afoul of Col. John Casey, but, listen, if we have the opportunity, I would love to bring summer Glau back. She’s just wonderful.”

I liked yesterday's episode, it was a good launching pad for the ending streak of the season. It featured some of the bigger plot holes we've seen in a while though, which is surprising since it was written by Phil Klemmer, who was there in the early seasons.

For example, how can the government just flip a switch to remove the Intersect from the GRETAs when it was very problematic back in season 2 when Chuck wanted it out. As far as I know, the work of Chuck's dad was destroyed along with the first Intersect 2.0 in Ring. And the episode adds insult to injury by having someone say "Intersect code is impossible to crack".

I also wish the two teams had been in competition for just a little longer than a single episode. The CIA invested millions to expand Castle, only to bury the new team after a single failed mission?

By the way, as expected, early ratings are not pretty, courtesy of DST.

3.3 household rating, down from a 3.8 last week. We'll have to see how that translates in the 18-49 demo, but expect a fresh series low.
