Just finished last night, Versos ending felt right to me. I can see the debate which is a fun one but facing reality in the real world with remaining loved ones rather than staying in never land sits better than it's me. I'm more of an objectivist in the end. Reality is real and endless subjectivity leads to nothing and nihilism.
I do want to say, initially I was very dissapointed with the twist that it was all in a painting, I don't like that writing trope and it felt lame at first. I hate it was all a dream, all in someone's end schemes. Cheapens everything to me. I will say this story was so fleshed out and emotional it actually really resonated with me and won me over. I feel like I could replay this game and not feel like "who cares it doesn't matter it's fake" nagging me. I would have liked for it to be real and had the story take a different turn on what's going on but that's the theme they chose.
