I missed this news. I got lucky enough to get two cases about an hour ago after seeing it on slickdeals. Prices on ebay are crazy right now. Can;t believe it's sold out again already. I can't wait to drink this in about two weeks. This was my favorite soda and I haven't drinken it in over a decade.

Hopefully these crazy sales see it restocked in stores, even if it's just 7-Eleven initially or something. I'd like to get a single can for nostalgia's sake, not a whole twelve pack.

I guess we all need to thank these weirdos.

This was big when I was in middle school. The soda machine at school would always run out as kids would buy multiple cans of Surge. People would also say it had a ton of caffeine which made it kind of taboo.

Oh and pepsi blue was not good. 2 sips and your whole stomach is bloated.

The movement's leader posted in the previous page!

This is an amazing day. Almost 15 years ago myself and Eric Karkovack started SaveSURGE.Org just as it was slowly disappearing from store shelves. We worked for years and maintained until a few years back when the way more hardcore fans at the SURGE Movement picked up where we left off and worked tirelessly to make this happen.

I still remember those days back on the BevNet BevBoard when I was a sophmore in high school and back then we really had no idea how to build a movement but we figured we would try anyway since complaining on a web forum isn't gonna change anything. Thanks to Eric and the rest of those early people we put together SaveSURGE.Org but never were quite able to pull it off the goal. There were so many false starts and "almosts" from people quite high up the food chain. It was surprisingly stressful for a young pup like me!

Many props to all the people at the SURGE Movement who went the extra mile and put in blood, sweat, tears, and quite a few bucks into making this dream a reality. You guys deserve and have my total admiration. Better SURGE fans than could have ever was.

I'm just so glad and proud to have been there from the very beginning almost 14 years ago- or so says my bio on SS.org (crazy!!). At 28 it's been half a lifetime and I honestly started to give up hope just as the Movement really found it's footing thanks to the hard work of so many people. A hearty thanks to everybody involved for making this happen and giving SURGE the 2nd chance it deserves. All those guys and gals friggin rock! Can't wait to taste the nectar while it's still warm outside and maybe for the first time in years chug it and not worry about spilling a drop!

Mine shipped, supposed to get here tomorrow. Was kind of expecting it to get pushed to the 27th since I hadn't heard anything.

Just looked it up. I guess it was Shasta cola?

EDIT: Yeah, and I remember looking at the bottom of the can from the top, and there being a picture of the character inside too. So that makes sense why the label says "look inside". Damn. For the longest time I thought this was fake, and my memory was messed up.
I remember having the Luigi one as a kid. Tasted pretty good from what I remember.
Pepsi Blue or bust.
Aw yeeeessssssss.

OH MY GOD. News of the week. I will be subscribing to this thread and checking in when the next shipment comes in. Gonna party like it's 1999: Drinking Surge, eating Doritos, watching the Naked Gun movies and playing Goldeneye with my homies until 4 AM.

I haven't had Surge since I was like 7, forgot what it tasted like.

Now this is a dedicated guy right here. I can't even imagine how happy this would be for you. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy.

Got my shipment in today. Like I said earlier in this thread never actually had it before. Will try one tomorrow.

Got an alert that my shipment was delivered while away from my place. Came home to no shipment on my apartment's front porch. Now the million dollar question: did the delivery service lie about delivering the package, or did someone steal my precious Surge from my doorstep?

I'm betting on the latter.

Got my case today and put it right in the beverage fridge. After cracking open the first canned soda in a few years I felt disappointed. This is not the Surge I remember. It's similarities between the original and the new batch end at the citrus flavors they share. The mouth feel and after taste distinctly different. A quick look at the ingredients and you can spot the differences in formulas.

I remember this back in HS. Don't remember how it taste like, though I do remember trying it out.

While we are at, lets starting brining up some other 90s drinks.

This is not a 90s drink - it was out from 2006-2007. And I never got to try it. :(

This was the main competitor for Surge, for me:

Josta won every time, honestly. Such a unique and amazing flavor.

Sounds like nobody else was a Hires root beer fan?

Anybody ever heard of a brief Surge/Josta contemporary soda called "Key the Dog"? It was around for about a year in my area, a light blue grape-flavored soda with some kind of bulldog mascot...

Just had one today. I can't remember the exact taste, but it tasted like flat mountain dew.

Yup, with more of an orange flavor (kind of like the last sip of an orangina). I tried my first can over ice though, so I'll do another straight up to see if that keeps the carbonation/flavor a bit more potent.

The people in the review section seem to not mind the price. I would never pay $244 for a case of anything, not even Bawls.

Nobody paid that price. It's $14 from Amazon. The one listed for $244 is a 3rd party reseller. Amazon is currently out of stock.
