Quinshad Davis has been at UNC for 7 years.

ESPN The Mag: The Downward Spiral of USC.

Interesting read, seems to be heavily based on the words of LenDale White, a guy who was banned from coming to games after his career ended, and Rhett Ellison's (a former USC TE) dad.

Great read, but this made no sense:

"We're not a physical team," Ellison says. "We're a finesse University of Washington football team out there. That's what we've got out there.

wut

The program was always about a pro-style offense, a power running game, and a smothering defense. We started getting away with that only when Slick Rick came in, and it continued with Sark.

Its funny how much USC fans hate bubble screens. Plenty of other teams that are good and have good offenses run bubble screens. There's nothing wrong with the play, it is just that USC has been predictable when they use them and bad at executing the blocks needed for them. I think part of it has also been the fact that they have had statuesque QBs so things like the QB run threat are not there.

I dunno, I think some USC people will only be happy if they go back to using the I formation and doing nothing but running Student Body Right. Even Ohio State and Alabama have embraced more modern play calling ideas.

Yeah, I get it. I wanted Sark to run even more, even though we were putting RBs in the NFL. I want them to run Gaskin even more, but he's a true frosh and will probably get hurt if we give him even more carries.

I hate bubble screens because our WRs can't block to save their lives.

Hey all,

Just a reminder that there is a game tomorrow for the Yahoo pick 'em. This week seems really easy pick wise so it shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

You'd think someone would have had the good sense to go for 2 before they had to.

EDIT: Actually, what am I thinking. The Oregon coaching staff? Good sense? Nah.
