COMICS! |OT| April 2014. Truly, there is no shame in continuing to read awful comics.

Haha yeah, I only buy every few months but when I do, it's in big doses. This will keep me busy until the next post-Infinity HCs start dropping.

Really enjoyed Uncanny Avengers so that's probably what I'm looking forward to most. Catching up more on that Daredevil run will be good too though, once I'm done with that I'll probably start throwing some of those Fraction Iron Fist books in my orders.

Did I miss anything good? Also, where do I get into the DC train? Any good recent issues to start with?

These series are just beginning:

Detective comics #30 Manapul/Buccellato - First issue came out earlier this month, art was amazing, story was meh, it might get better.
Justice League United Lemire/McKone - Issue #0 comes out next week
Superman #32 Johns/JRJR - This series doesn't start until July but Johns has done some great Superman stories in his Action Comics run.

Alright, thanks! I'll pick up Detective Comics #30 tomorrow, then wait for the others.
I really wish there was a local comic store not 130 miles away. :/

Sinestro #1 was great! Loved it. Great art too; Dale Eaglesham draws a gorgeous Lyssa Drak. So much detail to the hair. For a first issue it does a number of things right; Some action, backstory that isn't offensive to those who already know it, but does well to fill in, and an interesting hook for an overall premise.

Batman and Wonder Woman #30: Gotta disagree with you here, Spike. Diana's explanation of divinity and it's connection to the amazons was like, two panels? And the information was specific enough and meant for the reader as to be inoffensive.

Batman #30: The explanation for why Gotham is overrun with vegetation is such an obvious one, but I appreciate it nonetheless, it was one of those things I didn't quite get when we first saw the teasers. Gorgeous art and a fun issue. The train doesn't stop here.

Batman Eternal #2: Two for two on this weekly book. I'm really engaged with this title and I think I'm sort of digging this every week continuation of the story.

Last Stand of New Krypton Volume One: I think I would have enjoyed this as a issue to issue experience. I think I'm going to continue to fill out my New Krypton trades.

Pretty high!

Just finished McKeever's Young Allies and Tobin's Spider-Girl. Why do good teen comics (almost) always get cancelled? :c

I just finished Fear Agent Library Edition Vol. 2.
This just cemented Rick Remender as my favorite writer in comics. Such a great read and an incredible ending. I see myself rereading this series many times in the future.

so I got a new debit card, came in yesterday. I went to update all my billing info on sites. Marvel Unlimited is one. I go to edit my billing information and when you click Edit, the next page to be displayed doesn't give you all the required fields: Expiration and Card Type among them.

So I email support. A few hours later, I get this response:

We are aware of this issue and are working on it as quickly as possible. In the meantime, you can purchase a new subscription with your new credit card information after your current one expires. We apologize for this inconvenience

Well... that's frustrating.

Ugh, I was looking through my comics and found Blue Beetle #1. What ever happened to him?

Which one?

If you mean Ted Kord,
he was shot and killed by Maxwell Lord. In the New 52, there have been hints, as his Father was seen during the opening events of Forever Evil, interacting with Lex Luthor.

If you mean Jaime Reyes,
in the New 52 he isn't currently in anything. He showed up briefly in Threshold Presents, but then hasn't been seen since it was cancelled.

I was looking at the Scott Pilgrim color editions on IST (wishlisted), and was wondering when Bryan Lee O'Malley's Seconds is going to come out, amazon has it listed for July, is it really that close?

Actually, I do have a question: most current Marvel series fall under the All-New Marvel Now banner, making them easy to find through the wikipedia page. But some aren't, like Hawkeye, Mighty Avengers, and Amazing X-Men. Is there an easy way to just find out what current series Marvel has going, seeing as some don't fall under the banner?

Took the plunge and got the Invincible series plus the second brood saga and a few missing issues in the return of dark phoenix arc in uncanny xmen

I'm kinda new to Marvel. I know my DCGAF's taste. But what is everyone's favorite Marvel ongoings right now? Please keep it to a few (Top 3) so we can see what the most popular ones are.

Mine would be Uncanny Avengers, All-New Ghostrider and Moon Knight.

I'm going with four.

Uncanny Avengers
Thor: God of Thunder
Captain America
Avengers Undercover (Assuming the quality remains the same as Avengers Arena)

For me, someone relatively new to comics who started on Image and moved to include some Marvel:

Superior Foes, Secret Avengers, and Ms. Marvel

There's about a dozen other great solo books to throw in there as well, but I'm trying to play along

I pull a good bit of Marvel stuff, but if I had to narrow it down to three:

All-New X-Men
Guardians of the Galaxy
Uncanny X-Men

And Ms. Marvel gets an honorary mention.

Uncanny Avengers
Daredevil
Thor: God of Thunder

There are many other notable mentions, but those three are my favorite by a good margin and are the ones I'm most immersed into the story.
