Watched it about a year ago. Really does not hold up.
Lol people just like to pick on him for some of the weird shit he's done, and he's a good sport about it. If it's any consolation, he drew one of my favorite covers of all time.

Only comics guy I met was Ivan Reis. He signed my Aquaman vol 1. He didn't say much.
Oh and I was at a nycc panel where Dan slott announced superior spider man. He hyped it by saying "no one really likes Peter Parker right?"

For me, Dresden comics go War Cry > Welcome to the Jungle >>>> Ghoul Goblin. Definitely worth picking up. Haven't read the book adaptations yet, though.

Funny timing since I just started (re)watching the series like a few days ago. (I've had the DVDs for a while, but I only ever tried watching them through with some other people and that fell apart midway through). It really is an awesome series, and even the CG stuff holds up surprisingly well by being nicely stylized. (And it's acting as a nice counterbalance to Serial Experiments Lain, which I just started for the first time and would totally bum me out if I didn't follow it up with Zim just because of the mood it aims for).

Good recommendations. Knights of the Old Republic and the Ghost Prison are my favourites. I'm tempted to grab the X-Wing omnibus as I've heard some good things.

Only read a bit so far, but this is a really well done interview. You always post good articles and whatnot.
I can't look at Invader Zim without thinking of Hot Topic and Deviantart around 2006... I don't remember being a fan when it was airing either.

Aw, it's a bummer to hear all that... and One Moment in Time sucks?? Damn, I've actually been looking forward to getting there because I heard early on that OMiT explains some of how OMD works and fleshes it out more or maybe undoes it a bit.
So, "Big Time" is kind of the start of the next era, then?
Hear hear. I LOVED it. I stopped for a while at the end of Annihilators because I heard that when Cosmic Marvel picks back up for Marvel Now it's not really as good, but I'm still looking forward to it anyway.
I'd actually love for Marvel to make a Star Trek esque TV show set in MCU space. Like, have some minor characters be the stars, and all the alien races are the various Marvel alien races.

Because I've heard good things about it I picked up Silk #1 today, I also found and picked up Harley Quinn Invades Comic-Con International San Diego. Oh yeah, also got Jubilee Bishoujo.

I was thinking earlier about that well done Liefeld drawing and Liefeld in general. He's by all accounts a very friendly and passionate guy who has made the type of comics he's wanted to and been really successful at it. He seemed to make the most out of his limited talent, but that drawing makes me wonder why he's drawn the exact same way for so long. Not that I've read his comics throughout the years, but he never seemed to have an evolving artstyle.
His art didn't seem to reflect any growth. I'm really just very confused about the whole thing. Did he continue to draw like he did in the 90s to appeal to his fans? I must know
Whilce Portacio was super nice too. He told me to start inking my own work so I could understand so I could make my linework more clear and crisp. He gave his card and asked me to send him some inked samples once I had finished some. I sent some over to him about a week later but didn't hear back.
Cassaday was pretty complimentary and said my work reminded him of Mike Zeck's. Mike Huddleston was a cool dude. Joe Eisma seemed pretty shy. Michael Golden was also really nice and took a good bit of time to talk to me. I think the only guy who was kind of dickish to me was Len Wein.
The nicest artist I've met is Kristian Donaldson. He's a pretty funny guy and he absolutely loves comics and talking about making them. I definitely learned more from him than anyone else I've met.

He was really nice when I met him when I was around 19 or 20. I showed him some sample Spider-Man pages and he actually took some time to go through my work and suggest ways I could improve. He also taught me 3 point perspective. He gave me a B+ and said I was 'almost there'

Can't speak for Punisher, but Hawkeye is a fantastic comic. One of the best around, plus since you're new to it you will only experience one horrible delay before the series ends.

Hawkeye is one of the finest comics to come out over the last few years. The writing, art, and coloring are all fantastic.
