COMICS! |OT| February 2015. No ship girls. Oh, we got a Tank Girl though!

Breathe Messi. Post if you're OK.

Other new series announced via DC's press release include "Constantine: The Hellblazer" from Ming Doyle and Riley Rossmo, a "Black Canary" book written by "Batgirl" co-writer Brenden Fletcher; "Starfire," written by the "Harley Quinn" team of Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti (who are also writing a new "Harley Quinn/Power Girl" series in addition to the solo "Harley Quinn"), "Cyborg" and "Bat-Mite."

So its a new status quo? I understand it not exactly... It will be a new universe but no Reboot and no Return? Or they are just dropping the New 52 line?

At this point, it appears they're just dropping the New 52 name.

Yeah it appears they are dropping the name and probably pulling in a few things from the Convergence event because they list all the ongoing titles that will be around still in June.

The 25 ongoing series set to continue in June, most with current creative teams, are: "Action Comics," "Aquaman," "Batgirl," "Batman," "Detective Comics," "Batman/Superman," "Catwoman," "Deathstroke," "The Flash," "Gotham Academy," "Gotham By Midnight," "Grayson," "Green Arrow," "Green Lantern," "Harley Quinn," "Justice League," "Justice League United," "Lobo," "Secret Six," "Sinestro," "New Suicide Squad," "Superman," "Superman/Wonder Woman," "Teen Titans" and "Wonder Woman."

Has Ming Doyle written anything good?

Looks like she is normally an artist? Lot of Boom / Image / Valient credits.

Bryan Hitch, the acclaimed artist of "The Authority," "The Ultimates" and much more, will return to DC to write and draw "Justice League of America."

Is this good?

"Bizarro," described in DC's press release by Co-Publisher Jim Lee as one of three new "offbeat, irreverently funny titles," will be written by frequent DC animation scribe Heath Corson, with art by Gustavo Duarte. "Prez" -- a revival of a semi-obscure '70s concept and another series billed as having a humorous bent -- comes from the team of writer Mark Russell and artist Ben Caldwell.

"Omega Men," originally introduced in the early '80s in the pages of "Green Lantern," will be reimagined by "Grayson" co-writer Tom King and artist Barnaby Bagenda. Novelist and former Vertigo editor Alisa Kwitney, who's also writing "Convergence: Batgirl" is set to team with artist Mauricet on a series tentatively titled "Mystic U."

Garth Ennis and John McCrea, who teamed on unique and beloved DC Universe title "Hitman" in the '90s, have returned to DC for limited series "Section Eight," based on the characters who first appeared in 1997's "Hitman" #18. Former DC Comics president and veteran writer Paul Levitz will write the first "Dr. Fate" series in recent years, illustrated by "The Shadow Hero" artist Sonny Liew.

Where's Batman and Robin?

AWW SHIT.
UPDATE 2/6/2015 3:40 AM PT: IGN has the announcement of more new series coming from DC Comics in June: "Batman Beyond" from writer Dan Jurgens and artist Bernard Chang; "Cyborg" by writer David Walker and artists Ivan Reis & Joe Prado; "Dark Universe" by writer James Tynion IV and artist Ming Doyle; "Doomed" by writer Scott Lobdell and artist Javier Fernandez; "Red Hood/Arsenal" by Lobdell and artist Denis Medri (taking the place of "Red Hood and the Outlaws"); and "We Are Robin" by writer Lee Bermejo and artists Rob Haynes & Khary Randolph.

Starfire by writers Jimmy Palmiotti, Amanda Conner & artist Emanuela Lupacchino

Literally every part of this creative team is perfect.

Why no Beast Boy book, though? Kids love Beast Boy.

Also, the circle is complete. Marvel is becoming Nu 52 DC, and DC is becoming Marvel Now Marvel.

That metaphor falls apart the moment you compare Flashpoint and its buildup to Hickman's Avengers Masterplan leading to Secret Wars, you know that right?

Lemire off JLU doesn't surprise me at all, but I am surprised the Finches are stll on WW.

That new Damian book is written and drawn by Pat Gleason.

Holy Shit, I am all over both those books. Thank you based Conner/Palmiotti! Maybe they're going to make Starfire awesome again, and not the shitty version she currently is.

I had a feeling Justice League Dark was going away. Its just been spinning its wheels for the last few months waiting for Convergence. Upset that Batgirl is going to still have the current team, stewart needs off that title ASAP. Happy Black Canary is going to get her own title.

Well they saved Harley Quinn from the shitty version on Suicide Squad. So I'm gonna say that there is a high chance of them saving Starfire.

I am going to be pulling so many more books after this. Lol. What books are canned? I see Batman and Robin is not on the list :/.

Takes over Daredevil.

Nocenti takes over the X-men titles.

Fuck you fox.
