Okay, so I've been out of comics for roughly 10 years. Maybe longer. Any recommendations? With Comixology and digital stuff I'm quite enthusiastic about reading them again. I like dark and gritty action. I'm currently reading The Punisher MAX, as an example. Thanks!

My roommate has similar tastes and books I've seen him read include: Happy, Judge Dredd and Jennifer Blood. Also, if you haven't read it, you might consider "The Boys".

Ah ok. It didn't make much sense to me at first.

I read Return of the living Deadpool on my break. Such a great looking book and enjoyable absurd start to the story. Can't wait for more. Didn't think we would get a sequel to the first series.

Yep. Both Night and Return of the living Deadpool minis are worth reading. Loved night.

Both books are in black and white except Deadpool who is fully coloured. It is beautiful.

Gah, stupid TMNT Annual 2014. Such a pain since for whatever reason IST just never seems to have stocked it, which is annoying. Was getting ready to order it directly from IDW, but the shipping killed that idea, so it looks like it's random eBay seller time!

I hadn't read all of this week's books and finally read American Vampire SC #6.
This has been a genuinely great week but this book was my favorite. Hell, I love the series but it might be my favorite issue yet. That was some amazing world building.

Yeah, I think Aaron's got the dialogue pretty spot on so far but that was the one line I felt sounded off. He would have just said Ben.

Really enjoyed #2 though. Loved Vader taking on the rogue AT-AT. Loved all of 3PO's stuff so far as well. Roll on Vader next week.

When does Convergence start and when does this new slate of books kick off. Same goes for Secret Wars. When does that start and it's new books.
